Are these really this years Harrowing skins? The only one that even resembles something Halloweenish is Zombie Nunu.
Slayer Jinx looks good, but it just has no sort of Harrowing factor and she looks like Vi. But maybe they have nice particles..we shall see.

yup, that was legit it. They basically ran out of time for anymore skins and pushed Vi out early to have more than just one skins, and there was basically no event at all. Just 2 skins.

DrCyanide3 votesI guess the big difference is that Zombie Apocalypse seems far more "any time of the year" than specifically "Halloween time of the year", especially when you compare it to something like Werewolfs.
I do like the Jinx skin though.
ForgottenLuck2 votesNow also take into account that a Zombie Apocalypse feeling more of "any time of the year" is just a recent thing with how many movies, comics and video game have been using it, that is the main reason for why it feels like that though originally zombies and the apocalypse they might bring were originally a Halloween idea or theme if you wish, the context of how one perceives such an idea can and is affect it by the popularity and the world around it, this is one reason why I find many people are not pleased with these skins not for them being bad (which to me they look to awesome to even begin to seem bad) is for how the world around them has gone about with zombies and though I have stated that apocalypse survivors are a common costume were I am from the idea of zombie "fever", lets call it that, has not taken quite a big impact on me or those around me, this leads me to bee a bit sad that such awesome skins are looked down by the community for such a mediocre reasoning but it would be foolish of me to try to change everyone's mind on such mater yet I will continue to defend them since in all honestly they are very awesome skins, in my opinion.
delonix1 votesI think "Zombie Apocalypse" feels like an "any time of year" thing because if there was a zombie apocalypse, it would probably last at least a year. I agree that zombies were originally a Halloween thing, but the apocalypse was not. The only reason for zombie slayers like Jinx and Panth is a long battle for survival against the zombie hoards. Halloween zombies were confronted by people wearing normal clothes and using normal, unmodified guns. Look at Night of the Living Dead. Why would people need to start improvising weapons and armor if the zombies were only around for one night?
ForgottenLuck1 votesTrue that surviving a Zombie Apocalypse would be more than to just lasting a day but I still find that it should count as a Halloween subject for its principal origin and how it was also originally shown to the public, and I for one find that the Slayer skins fit perfectly well for Halloween since I like to imagine them more along the lines of the project skins, a sort of fanfare or fan fiction style by giving us a sort of what if form of story telling.

I was hoping for a harrowing skin for Azir in the least :( (and I am not saying the skins look bad, just that they don't really look much like "Halloween" in my opinion)

It is Apocalyptic/Zombie Apocalypse. Which IS NOT Halloween/Harrowing in the slightest, but maybe they have bigger surprises for us!

They haven't done much of anything special for Harrowing since 2012 (when elise was released). Been pretty much nothing "big", "surprising" or otherwise sadly.
They haven't done an actual event since then, they completely stopped doing event Summoner's Rift skins, and they just basically default to "spooky twisted treeline! Here, buy this old harrowing skins we are reselling! spoooooky!" and that's it.

They were, but two skins and reselling past skins isn't an event. Kind of missed my point there I think. They put more effort into the First Strike futuristic skins than they have put effort into harrowing in both 2013 and 2014.
2014 had better skins as there was more than one single actual harrowing skin, but 2013 was terrible. Plus they've done less and less for Harrowing the last few years since worlds is going right now, meaning most of the Riot Team is doing a whole lot of nothing (see the latest near empty, and smeh patch notes to see how little they are doing right now).
Has become a bit of a running joke about not expecting anything out of Riot except token things while Worlds is happening.

Zombie Nunu is pretty cool but the other two skins could have been released at any time. Players really wanted something spooky, scary, and something to celebrate the season of spookiness. Think you are expecting a bit much even as far as that gamemode goes.
I expect we are going to get the same rehashed "look spooky twisted treeline" that is either one for all on it, or hexakill or some such, and call it a day.

Again not the first time we've heard this, then got a "sale" of past harrowing skins (woopty doo), or a map mode (which is just going to be all for one since it is for some reason still on the PBE and not with this latest patch).
I know I sound cynical, but after all these years it is hard not to be.

WhiskerWow1 votesThey are nice skins (I don't really like the Pantheon one though. It is kinda ugly) (I like the Jinx one, if I played Jinx more I'd probably get it) but zombies and Halloween do not have a direct correlation. You can have one or the either.
Although, we only have 2 zombie skins, so it's not like the sand skin line, like there's too much of it.
