Alexa, the Forsaken Priestess

Health: 530-2230 Health Regen: 5-19.5 Mana: 280-950 Mana Regen: 7-21 Armor: 27-91 Magic Resist: 32.1-53.4 Attack: 61-117 Attack Speed: 0.65-0.98 Melee: 125 Movement Speed: 350 Primary Role: Fighter/Tank Secondary Role: Support

Background: They say that there was once a powerful monastary on the border of Shurima and the Fyrone Flats. That a grand, but small kingdome lay nestled upon its borders. A powerful ground of priestesses trained from birth ruled the kingdom and with it they were prosperous and safe.

The legend goes that one Priestess stood alone. Something that had never been done for centuries. Treaties made with Shurima had been put into place should either need help. When the priestess rose to power there was a great threat upon her lands.

This threat swept her kingdom and ground it into dust. Though, that is the legend. The truth? The Priestess requested aid in battle, and it was given. Her armies raised and that of Shurimas by her side she fought at her capital. The Shurma garrison stationed on the cliffs and dunes around her city. As the signal was given for the Shuriman soldiers to fight....they instead retreated. Letting the city fall.

When the dust settled on a handful of her people were alive. She grew angry, but cautioned herself against violence. She saw to her people and sent message to Shurima. No reply was given. She sent messages three times and on the third there was a reply.

"To the esteemed High Priestess Alexa. It has come to my attention of what has happened. There had been a recall in forces not authorized. We humbly request your forgiveness and will help in any way we can to rebuild your kingdom," signed by an annonymous source.

She ventured forth to Shurima, but too late. The fall of Shurima happened soon after and so she retreated back to her city and with immense power sealed itself away for centuries and she herself meditated and trained until the day she would reawaken. Her and her people.

After Shurima was brought back from the brink and found by everyone. Her spell began to waver and with it her city re-emerged. She sent scouts forth into the world and was astounded to hear the discoveries. She knew it was time to enter the world. Within the spell she cast her city had been rebuit and her people replenished. A new High Priestess was chosen and she ventured forth into the world to discover for herself from the remnants of Shumira what had happened.

All images used are not mine and credit goes to whoever made the images. I am only using them as a reference and source material for my concept. Thank you!

Appearance: http://i2.imageban.ru/out/2012/06/16/da291bd33522b9c44609d5befb437fe3.jpg This is a pretty accurate description of what she looks like. The only difference is within her dark hair she has red streaks (Much like the color of Miss Fortune and Katarina).

Age: ??? When she was at her prime she was 23 years of age. Centuries have passed but she hasn't aged at all. The spell she used was very powerful and drained a lot of her power. This caused her to age very slowly. Much like Wolverine does. Her power slightly restored after all this time she doesn't wish to reverse it. Height: 5' 8" Weight: 140lbs mostly muscle. Very slim much like an elf.

Movemet: She moves much like Zed and Shen do. One arm out in front of her and the other on her weapon.

Weapon: Alexa uses an eastern Katana. The sheath of which you see in the picture. The blade is perfectly straight without the slight curve most katana have.

Passive: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/18/icons_17898_btn.jpg Priestess's Training- Alexa was trained as both a Priestess and a Warrior. Combining the two in an effective way.

For every 200 Mana Alexa gains 10 bonus AD. For every 300 Health she gains 5 Magic Resist and AP bonus.

Q http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/4/icons_3666_btn.jpg Healing Graces: Within a 500 unit radius around Alexa she summons a healing circling. Her and any allied champions within this circle are healed for 50/75/100/125/150 (+30% AP)(+2% her Maximum Health). Each allied champion within the field increases the Maximum Health heal bonus by 2%. This heal is applied over 1.5s.

Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 Cooldown: 30s Range/Radius: This is centered upon Alexa. 500 unit radius around her. Channeling: 1.5s. When casting she stabs her sword into the ground and creates the circle. Healing herself and allies within it. The heal starts the moment she stabs the ground and stops after the 1.5s.

About the Healing: The healing is applied over a 1.5s channeling. However, it is not a large amount of health at one time. Instead it comes in increments. Much like how Master Yi's works. He gains about maybe 20-30 health very fast over his 4s at max rank. This is much like that. She heals herself and her allies, but it is small increments albeit fast. So a champion of the enemy should they be fast enough can interrupt this heal. Making it so maybe only 100 health was healed instead of 600 or something like that. The heal is not large amounts over the 1.5s but small tiny increments. Just repeating myself now so yeah, that's how it works.

When she goes to use this ability her sword will grown green right before she stabs the ground. This indicates what she is about to do for the enemy to react or not.

Note: This can be interrupted with silence and other CC effects. This can also be interrupted by using other of her abilities or attacking an enemy or moving. The circle is also a giant green intricate circle much like you see on Full Metal Alchemist and in Dark Souls 2.

http://i.imgur.com/HmobKAs.gif Much like this, but the radius is slightly bigger and the light is green. Inside the circle is an intricate design like an alchemist circle. The chime is instead her sword going into the ground. Speed of cast varies from this gif as well.

W http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/13/icons_12749_btn.jpg Dune Storm: Selecting a path Alexa cleaves her sword in that direction summoning the very dunes to her aid. Along a path that is 700 units long and 150 units wide a sand dune rolls along it damaging enemies for 20/30/40/50/60 (+20% AD)(+30% AP) physical damage. Knocking them up into the air for 0.5s.

Upon landing they are infected with Sand's Tomb. Their armor and magic resist is reduced by 10/15/20/25/30 for 5s. This is shown by sand whirling around them.

Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Cooldown: 25/23/21/19/17s

http://im.ezgif.com/tmp/ezgif-3691243217.gif This is the basis of what the Dune Storm looks like. However, it is less lumpy looking and more like a wave much like Nami's Ult except the width of it is MUCH smaller than Nami's Ult. Also, instead of the whole hand signs she summons the sands with her sword and slices from her bottom right up to the top left as if through something underhanded sending the Dune Storm forward.

Note: I also made that gif. Sorry for the shaky camera. My hands aren't the sturdiest holding something still with one hand while doing the combo with the other. I just couldn't believe that there wasn't a gif of this on the internet. I mean, how hard is it to search "Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Gaara Sand Tsunami Gif" and it not appearing? Got plenty of anime gifs of other naruto characters and a whole bunch of youtube tutorials on the movesets, but nooooo gif anywhere. Like, wtf? Anyways, end rant. Sorry XD

E http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/10/icons_9617_btn.jpg Sand Blade: Alexa summons sand around her blade increasing her effective attack range by 125 and dashes to target dealing an initial 20% of her AD as true damage. Afterwords her attack speed is increased by 5/10/15/20/25%. Her attacks deal a bonus of 20/30/40/50/60 (+50% AD) physical damage and 20% AP bonus magic damage. This lasts for 10s.

Enemies effected by Sand's Tomb take an additional 10% of her AD as True Damage upon initial impact and the sand is absorbed into her blade increasing its duration by 3s and bonus damage added to each attack by 10. She has 15% movement speed increase while moving towards enemies effected by Sand's Tomb

Within the next 3s of Sand Blades duration she may activate this once again to dash to another target.

Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 Cooldown: 23/21/19/17/15s Range: Enemies within a 600 unit radius.

No gif for this one. I would if I had a proper reference. It is pretty much a small dashing jump to target and attacks them absorbing the sand if they have Sand's Tomb on them.

R http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/16/icons_15798_btn.jpg Guardian of the Sands: Her name and title is revealed upon activation. She summons her Guardian, the female spirit living inside of her. The Guardian of the sands. Sand is summoned like a storm around her and allies within 700 units of her. Sand swirls around in the area granting those within it bonuses.

Granting herself a shield for 100/150/200 (+5% of Her Maximum Health). Allies near her gain 50/60/70% of this effect. This shield lasts until it is destroyed. This shield looks much like the shield Bloodthirster gives, but instead of it being red and blood it is tan and sand.

Alexa and her allies also have increased Armor and Magic resist for 10s. Armor and Magic Resist increase by 20/35/50. This effect is shown like an Aura around their feet in the form of swirling sand much like the Sunfire Cape except....well, sand.

Enemies within 200 units of allies with this aura are damaged 10/15/20 (+20% Bonus AP) magic damage every second for the 10s the aura is active. This damage ignores MR.

Enemies near Alexa with Sand's Tomb have their sand absorbed by Alexa increasing her shield by 50 for each one absorbed and damages them for 50/70/90 (+30% AP).

Cost: 100/120/140 Cooldown: 130/110/90s Range: 700 unit radius around Alexa. 200 units around champions with aura for the damage. Casting Time: The sandstorm within the area takes 0.5s before being activated. It starts building up with her at the center and once it reaches max area is when the shields and bonuses are granted.

Note: This works in conjuction with Sand Blade. The Sand absorbed both enhance the Sand Blade and increases the shield.

No gif for this one either. This one would be hard. >.> XD Anyways, imagine it this way if you didn't get it from before. Starting at her sands begin to whirl outwards enveloping the area. After it reaches max the sands wrap themselves around the allies and shield them. That is hard to find a gif of XD

Alexa is a Support Tanky Fighter. She runs high with dependence upon Mana and Health items which allow her passive to be more useful. Her abilities allow her to harrass her enemies while keeping her allies safe.

In top lane she wants to lead with W and follow it up with her E. This allows extra damage done due to the sundering of her opponents Armor and MR. Allies within range can use this to help gank the enemy. Able to heal is a good addition, but the 1.5s can lead to her being punished by hard CC and silences. Allowing the enemy to close in for the kill.

Mid lane she is a force to be reckoned with. Mages and other ranged champions can easily out range her, but with her bonus MR and W->E combo she can close the gap. Be careful of Veigar's prison and his ultimate as they can easily shred through even her MR. Champions such as Fiddlestick and Twisted Fate can be used to combat her. Fiddles Silences and Fears help control her when she gets too close as well as his health drain. She does not have enough DPS to outlast that without using her W->E combo and while silenced and feared she is outmatched.

With Twisted fate there his cards can be used to stun her and keep her from moving while gaining the stacks for a hard hit. Twisted Fates DPS with his stacked deck help him win match ups agains Alexa. While this could turn around in eithers favor dependent upon the player Twisted Fate and Fiddle have the advantages here.

In bot lane all but the support tanks outrange Alexa even with her 700 unit poke. Most ranged champions stay well out of melee range putting her at a disadvantage even with her W->E combo. Diving into the deep end in Bottom lane can have her stranded should things turn south making her retreat easy pickings for the better ranged champions.

Synergy: Alexa works best with mages. Her ability to decrease the MR of the opponents can help with damaging the enemy. Mages can keep their distance while she tanks and sunders the enemy team.

Typical setups would be as followed. I will use Karma as I know her slightly well. Karma and Alexa are in a lane together (Let's say Mid for the sake of it) and on the other team they send in a tank. Let's say Malphite. With Malphite is Ryze. Leading the fight Ryze and Alexa both cast off. Alexa uses her W while Ryze stuns her. Malphite uses his Q to attack and slow Alexa. As Alexa uses her W both Ryze and Malphite are hit. Karma leads in with her R->Q combo. Along with the reduction in MR this attack does severe damage to both Ryze and Malphite should both be hit.

At this point Karma goes to use her Snare ability to hold Malphite down. After the prison by Ryze is unlocked Alexa dashes to Malphite with her E and severely damages him. Karma sends up her shield on Alexa as she dashes to Ryze attacking him. Ryze Activates his ultimate and Alexa does at the same time granting both Karma and herself a Shield and bonus magic reduction helping to undermine Ryze. At the end of this combo Malphite should be next to dead if not dead and Ryze left high and dry as they finish him.

Though things don't always go as planned. There are some champions who can counter play Alexa. As explained above Fiddle and Twisted are two that can help to shut her down. I am only explaining the synergy and what use she can be in team fights and fights in general.

Master Yi is one such counter to Alexa. Let's say Master Yi and Alexa are fighting. Alexa leads off with W->E. As She goes to E he goes into his Q. Effectively nulling her after hits while he counters. Activating his E just after gives him enough time to attack. With bonus attack speed on both ends and the faster Q Master Yi with critical strikes and speed with double attack can outdamage and win in the matchup. While both have a heal and Master Yi has a slightly longer one it also decreases damage. Allowing for him to soak up the damage dealt by Alexa. Add in Highlander and even with her shield up he can tear through it and take the damage. Though, of course it is how people build the champions, but this is one example of how she can be countered. Either one of them can be victorious, but overall Yi has the advantage.

Nice idea. I really appreciate the effort you put into this champion's idea.

Passive is interesting. My first thought was "finally! someone to build manamune on!"

The q sounds cool, but because of her kit she's going to be toplane hell. You have essentially made a carry who benefits from every single stat in the game. Ap? Yes! AD? Yes. Tanky? Sure that works, she gets rewarded for that! not just that, she also gets SUSTAIN. Thats going to be really painful. The q itself seems kinda similar to a Jannas ultimate. Its aesthetically a cool idea.

W is really similar to Yasuo's amplified Q and Janna's Q. Besdies that theres not much to say. CC.

E - So wait let me get this straight, this is a gap closer that deals scaling true damage, is a steroid that increases autoatack range, atack speed AND on-hit damage. And it lasts 10 seconds? That's just absurd. You have created an over complicated ability as well as an overpowered one. The enemy wont even understand what the hell is going on. There's just going to be a pop and suddenly the enemy is in your face dealing a huge ton of damage straight in your face.

So based off of the scaling, her R is either an under powered aura buff or a REALLY powerfull shreding tool. With the right stats this just outclasses a fiddlesticks ultimate by adding the shield and the resistances and the aura and everything. It just outclasses so many champions ultimates. It's kinda like Renekton's ultimate because of the shield, because the shield doesn't disappear until you use it, so it's kinda like bonus health(but better? I'm not sure. The idea is intriguing. It deserves more experimentation) but it also healps others so it's just better. It's kinda like Fiddlesticks's ultimate when you get enough AP, but it lasts for 10 seconds and it makes you tankier, so it's an ENGAGE ability and ALSO and ANTI engage ability.

Overall the champion is a nice idea. I think we need a good priest-like champion. Like a D&D cleric who doesnt have a horn in his head (Taric rework maybe?) but Alexa just is currently a jack-of-all trades who just does everything really well. She can push with tornado, she can sustain with Q, She can go in with E and kill people, She can survive with ultimate and she can peel with ultimate and tornado. She can gank because she has cc and she can just delete the enemies efforts and poke by just healing health back up. She needs tweaks, a lot of tweaks, but please keep working on this idea. it is very nice and you seem like the kind of person who is very dedicated to it.

So heres a few ideas of mine. You dont have to use them, just food for thought. So shes an ancient Shurima healer priestess warrior right? Why not focus more on one of her aspects in a way and not just put everything in there. Generally speaking, a champion who can do everything is weak from nothing (Kinda like Kayle or old LeeSin, or freaking Nidalee who is only weak from a lack of wards) Make her kit either more about being a priestess and add just a pinch of warrior or make it about being a warrior(It's been centuries right? Surely she must have been doing more fighting by now than... erm... priesting?) than being a healer.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I am dedicated too all my champions. My previous champions I have created received a lot of hate feedback instead of actual constructive feedback from my perspective. Recently though on my champions I've received really good and constructive feedback! This makes me happy and makes me want to continue.

The thing with me is that this champion is meant to be more warrior and tank than anything, but with slight healing because of her being a priestess. After all. A priestess without the ability to heal is weird.

The thing with the Q is that people have to be within range of the spell to gain the effects, and to make it not too OP I put a static 30s CD on it. On top of that it isn't an instant heal and takes place over 1.5s in which she can't do anything and if she does it stops the heal before full heal is achieved. Starting a slow heal into the full heal it makes. How I think of it is that it is much like Master Yi's but an AoE. And the only thing about Master Yi's that it is like is how the health is accrued over time. Meaning that instead of large quantities. Like lets say 100 each 0.5s to max quantity or something it is more like 10-30 every 0.1 or 0.2s very rapidly. It is a large amount overtime but heals a lot like Yi's in that it is small quantities very quickly without the damage reduction buff.

I'd like to keep the ability, but modify it maybe? Currently at max CDR (40%) it would have a CD of 18. That is if she builds with CDR in mind (Which she would). So the heal could easily be interrupted and stopped without too much of a heal, and she can't cast it all the time. However, I am always willing to modify as long as it doesn't destroy the champion.

Her E was something I didn't want too OP, but might seem that way? At first she didn't have the range up. That was something added last minute because if you imagine it when she creates sand around her sword it pretty much lengthens. This can always be nulled and removed to make it less of an OP skill, but it makes sense.

The initial true damage (Upon hit) would be dealing at 300 AD would be dealing only 60 true damage upon hit. That's it. No more no less unless they had Sand's Tomb. Then an extra 10% for a total of 90 true damage. This is really nothing considering most True Damage I've seen in game hits in the low to high 100s. However, I could do a flat amount so it wasn't based on AD, but more so the rank of the skill. I just wasn't sure how that would be received, and it seemed better for and AD%.

The addition of damage and attack speed is during the duration (10s) and is slightly better than Kayles in terms of damage. However, unlike Kayles hers doesn't do AoE damage. Instead she has a faster attack speed. The duration is only increased, and damage is increased only when absorbing Sand's Tomb. This I thought would be an ok addition as well as bonus speed to moving towards someone with Sand's Tomb. Sand's Tomb of course runs out after 5s. Of course, she could move from target to target, but she can't dash from target to target. She only gets two tries. Much like Fiora's Lunge.

Q is pretty much her ONLY damaging move. Her W Dune Storm (Which isn't a Tornado btw. It's much like the gif, but less bumpy :P) is pretty weak in terms of damage. Her R does damage, but very minimal over time to only those close to her. The use of her E and R together along with W is what makes her deadly.

Of course silences work as well as other hard CC effects from enemies because none of her abilities make her immune to CC.

End Notes: I wouldn't mind adjusting her to be better and such. I would like to keep with her kit though as it works. Perhaps adjust values or what things do. Take for example her R Ultimate. Her damage is fine with it. Doesn't do too much damage. The 10s buff is pretty much game changing, but to make it slightly more balanced I could put a static cooldown on it so it doesn't get too low. Or I could change the amount of a shield and or damage the sand does.

But anyways give me your thoughts. I have read your thoughts but the kit I would like to keep as is for now. The Q I could also put down to a lower radius? Thought 500 is pretty low. This could be something I could do. I will specify just how the heal heals though too. It isn't large amounts at one time. Its small increments meaning if it could be interrupted a champion or her may only get healed for like 10 hp or something.

And again! Thanks for the feedback! It is much appreciated!

Hmm. Yes those are good points. I didnt think of the comparison to Kayle. That puts it slightly into perspective. I see her more as a Yasuo now. I like the kit. It makes a somewhat hyperactive(because of the atack speed and dash) sand monk. Sounds pretty fun. The ultimate still bothers me. It just feels too passive, but maybe im wrong. I suppose it would encourage allies to clump up to you(which is generally bad, but in this case it's kinda good). Hmm. What if instead of a (darude)sandstorm it was like some powerful presence? It would literally make her like a priest telling it's followers to stand near her and fight evil together (because they recieve bonuses for being in her ultimate.) Its a cool idea. So basically, yeah, Nice, gg!

Nikushimi Zero1 votes

Well, I'm always up to hearing ideas of how to better accommodate the abilities to better them and make them work better within the league.

The Ultimate is something I'm willing to change, but I wanted to to be like a buff for allies and a damage or debuff on enemies. Maybe, if instead of having the whole damage thing to the ultimate make enemies near her every few seconds accrues Sand's Tomb? Making the ultimate help her E ability?

I think that might be interesting. Then I would need to re-balance the absorption of Sand's Tomb by the utimate because having the ultimate absorb the Sand's Tomb it produces seems a bit too OP, but if I were to give the absorption to the E to boost duration or possibly give the shield passive to her E? Meaning for every Sand's Tomb absorbed she gains 50 (+20% AP/AD) or something as a shield?

I'd like to hear thoughts on the matter ^^ And if you like, or anyone likes feel free to vote up so people can see the champion and perhaps get more feedback and likes. ^^ It makes me happy seeing people enjoy the champions I bring to the table, and your insight into my champion is useful. I like conversing and adjusting with people rather than abruptly being told "No" to everything. XD

antymattar1 votes

No XD

im kidding. I think the ultimate can stay as it is. As I said, it encourages clumping up, so it has an inherent drawback of it's own.

Bumping for feedback and such ^_^
