A New Civilization Emerges

So lately I've been wondering when we're going to get some news about the latest champion since it has been a few months since Sylas was released. This is the fourth week in a row now that Riot hasn't updated their Universe page with new lore, and because of that I was beginning to think its cause they're going to drop a lot really soon and announce a new hero. My theory is almost semi confirmed after they released the 2019 Road Map yesterday and stated we're going to be getting a new AD Assassin from an undiscovered faction of Runeterra, which is incredibly exciting to me. Assassins are my favorite role in any game and I'm stoked to see this "New Civilization" is.

Riot also stated: "Trespassers beware and stay away from the walls, for nowhere is safe when you enter deep into these jungles."

Any ideas as to what interactions with walls this new hero will have?

Four weeks? They're updating the lore every 2 weeks now. The last update added in Galaxy Slayer Zed and updated the Odyssey page.

the newest champion isn't the AD assassin. that is AFTER the next champion. so hes 2 away. the NEXT one is the enchanter which I'm sure will be added to PBE after next patch due to how soon she/he is coming.

There's one story that really resonates with that assassin's description: The Dreaming Pool.

The individuals I'm talking about are called "guardians of Fae'lor". Fae'lor is in the left most edge of Ionia:

A pair of dark-clad figures—one female, one male—emerged from the sea, unseen, and as silent as death.

Of her face, only her eyes and the swirling indigo tattoos that surrounded them were visible.

From shadow to shadow they darted, like specters, until they reached the first wall. Hugging the darkness, they remained utterly motionless as a patrol marched by, the Noxian warriors speaking in their guttural language and laughing, utterly oblivious to the nigh-invisible Ionians crouched mere feet away.

From that story, all of them die... all but one: Sirik.

Her brother, and the last of the guardians of Fae’lor were dead. All but her.

That said, this champion may just come from the Kumungu jungles (east of Shurima), since Reav3 specifically says "will send you deep into the jungles of Runeterra". There's a lot more empty space on that side of the map and it would be a nice change of pace from all the Ionia lore.

Also, notice the aesthetics of the ship on the image look to be from Piltover. That ship wasn't put there at random. Coincidentally, Piltover/Zaun are right next to the Kumungu jungles.
