Quark, the Quantum Quirk

Quark is a melee fighter/tank. In canon, he is a sentient atom, probably from Zaun but maybe Piltover. The "hook" to his character is that he uses quantum physics to become copies of himself. One is the "main" Quark, called Alpha Quark, while copies are Gamma Quarks (probably just a different color), but this is more for clarity; all Quarks are exactly the same. Alpha Quark doesn't get any kind of stat or even size bonus compared to the Gammas. I tried to design his kit so you can go for a number of different builds without any one of them being really OP.

Passive - Nucleus : If Alpha Quark is killed, the Gamma Quark with the most health (nearest the cursor if there is a tie) becomes Alpha Quark. When no Gamma Quarks remain (whether killed or Fused), Alpha Quark becomes untargetable for 1 second and resets all combat timers (e.g. triggering passive for Boots of Mobility, Warmog's). Quark can move during this time.

The "whether killed or fused" bit could be OP. I'd be OK if it was only that the last Gamma is killed.

Q - Quantum Leap : Passive : If a Gamma Quark exists, Quarks can move through units but cannot basic attack. Instead, Quarks deal (50% AD divided by number of Quarks) every second in a 300-unit radius aura. Where auras overlap, 20% AP per overlap is also dealt as magic damage. These auras can damage structures.

I could see this instead stacking up to 100% AD (with four Quarks overlapping).

Q : Active : Alpha Quark creates a Gamma Quark 300 units in target direction (max four Quarks) while teleporting himself 100 units the opposite direction. Health is rebalanced between all Quarks.

Gamma Quarks receive real health bars, like Shaco or LeBlanc clones, not like Zac's passive. Because the active is a teleport, it can cancel auto-attacks, tower shots, etc. on Alpha Quark. All Gamma Quarks remain in a fixed position relative to Alpha Quark, independent of move direction. (If they would collide with a wall, they move until they would not, and remain in that position until moved again.)

W - Cold Fusion (targeted on copy) : Fuses the selected Gamma Quark back into Alpha Quark.

E - Particle Collider : Quarks fire a barrage of neutrons toward the cursor location, dealing damage to all enemies hit. Damage does not stack, but if more than one barrage hits a target, the target will be slowed.

R - Atom Bomb : (Cost 20% current health) All Quarks explode, dealing (10% max health) + (100% AD) + (100% AP) per Quark/copy and healing for 40% of the damage dealt.

What do you think? (And yes, the scalings could probably be tuned on that ult. I'm trying to throw out a concept, not balance stats.)

EDIT: As part of a submission into the CCC (http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/ofBPPYgU-ccc-january-champion-concept-contest-is-here-finally) I created lore! It's still not super pretty, but it gets the basics down, I think.

Rumors have been flying around Zaun of a thing. Nobody’s seen it. They only know it by its handiwork—exploded criminals.

Quark, simply put, is an atom. It just takes one atom to change the world, though, and Quark, with his intimate understanding of quantum mechanics, has a unique view to the workings of techamaturgical science. Inspired by the Zaun Amorphous Combatant, it put its knowledge to use fighting those who would use techmaturgy to harm others.

Originally from Piltover, Quark hopes that his time in Zaun may be useful in turning its independent spirit into one that values peace and compassion as much as it does its autonomy.

Friends: Zac, Heimerdinger Rivals: Dr. Mundo

(Bonus) New Year’s Resolutions:

  1. Divide and conquer.
  2. Fight crime.
  3. Fix the pun bug in Blitzcrank’s ‘joke’ subroutine.

How many gammas can be made?
