Change in-game avatar's to current skin

The one thing I actually liked about DOTA 2 (because for the most part I didn't like it) was that whenever you chose your appearance, your in game avatar would reflect that. One of the few things that I dislike about League, is that there are all of these really nice skins with beautiful splash art that is associated with them, but in game, the champion's avatar doesn't reflect this. This is more for aesthetic purposes, but I think it would be a welcomed addition. Then skins aren't just minor appearance changes, they also change your in game avatar as well.

I have heard one of the main reasons that this hasn't happened already is because new comers won't know who a certain champion is because they won't recognize the avatar, but this is already countered because if you mouse over an avatar it tells you who that champion is.

I'm surprised no one has commented on this topic yet.

How do skins not change the avatar? compare dj sona too default sona thats a huge difference. Default vlad and soulstealer vlad. Have you found a way to disable skins? xD because all a skin does is change the ingame avatar and the loading screen image. Skins would be pretty useless without that xD

What do you mean? Skins change the splash and the in-game appearance.
