Before adding new champions can we fix the current ones?

League of Legends is probably one of my favorite games and while it is cool that new champions get added regularly, I have noticed some pretty extreme balancing issues lately, especially when it comes to older champions. There are a ton of champions that need either a visual update, a game play update or a complete rework, but I feel for many champions this just simply won't happen.

I really think instead of releasing new champions, Riot really needs to focus on making the existing ones better. In one year we got a total of 10 new champions in League of Legends and there were only 2 complete reworks (Sion, Poppy) with one still waiting to be released (Taric).

There are tons of champions that just need some love, but I feel like they have just been pushed on the back burner.

What does everyone else think?

Different teams. And actually we are supposed to get Yorick and another VGU this year which will probably be Ryze or Warwick

There were actually 5 champions released in 2015: Bard, Ekko, Illaoi, Tahm Kench, and Kindred. You are also only talking about major reworks in your post. When you factor in minor reworks, reworks > releases.

I meant within the last year there have been a total of 10 new champions.

Aurelion Sol, Jhin, Illaoi, Kindred, Tahm Kench, Ekko, and Bard. Rek'Sai and Kalista are a bit beyond that year mark, but beyond that only by a few months or so that's why I am counting them.

But in regards to what Warpenquin was saying, I know we will get the Yorick update hopefully sometime this year, but I have lost faith on the Warwick rework. He was suppose to get a visual update / rework a long time ago, but I think it was put on the back burner. (I can't remember the reason why)

Some champions that really need a rework or a visual update are as follows:

Warwick (possibly both) Yorick (already going to get a rework) Rammus (one of my favorite champs, but he really needs to be updated) Ryze (rework) Swain (rework) Rumble (visual update- possible gameplay update) Nunu (rework) Zac (rework) Galio (visual update and gameplay update) Singed (rework) Urgot (rework) Volibear (gameplay update) Olaf (gameplay update) Pantheon (gameplay update) Lee Sin (rework) Kennen (rework) Jayce (rework)

Etc

There are more, but right off the top of my head these are definitely the champions that need some love be it a visual update, a gameplay update or a full on rework. I am sure there are many, many more though.

Yeah, I feel like we are getting close to enough champions. I wish they would at least do visual updates for all the oldies. Amumu Anivia Warwick poor poor mumu.

Agreed.

Also there are so many champions right now that are in the trash tier that just need some love.
