Ability changes

Artwork is not mine. just a source of idea.

"Yon' Kai is the name giving to me by tribes of the meaningless drag of world I've created. The life forms of this land i call the void, worship me as their God. I designed them for my enjoyment, pawns in my entertainment. They make sacrifices in my name, shrines to pay respects and honor me. All This worship and i still feel bored and not sated. This land and my creations may be my toys... but my play room has become crowded. Do you understand Vel' Koz?"

"Yes"

"Then go forth through the rift and show the other worlds the torment the void can supply to the masses! Go through this gate and wreak havoc!"

Abilities

Passive: power of the following - For every 200 Ability Power, Yon' Kai summons a Void Knight (max of 3). A Void Knight can be commanded to stand guard at a location as a attack ward, with 350 vision span. If an enemy walks into the vision span of a Void Knight, it becomes active with 500 health and 75 attack damage. First attack made on an enemy champion, knocks them back in the direction they came. A Void Knight will last until it's destroyed.

Q: Grains of the Void - (Active) Targets an enemy champion blasting them with void dust dealing 70/85/100/115/130 Magic Damage and reducing their armor and magic resist by 10/15/20/25/30% for 3 seconds. (Passive) - Yon'kai's next ability deals 1.5x increased damage. Range: 500 Cool down: 20/18/16/14/12 Cost: 60/55/50/45/40

W: Whip of the void - Cracks two lashes of energy across the terrain leaving a wall of debris in their wake that is impassable. The debris wall last for 4 seconds. Each lash of energy deals 50/75/90/105/120 magic damage (+20% AP). If hit by the wall an enemy will be knocked back. (Note: The lashes would be able to controlled like Zed's Razor Shuriken with his shadow active.) Range: 675 Area of affect: In a line for 800 Cool down: 16/15/14/13/12 Cost: 65/60/55/50/45

E: Nether Stride - Yon'Kai strides through the void in a path, gaining movement speed and charging his next basic attack with an additional damage equal to 15/25/35/45/55% Ability Power. If an enemy is struck while in Yon' Kai's path he will go through their souls dealing 45/55/65/75/85 Magic damage that ignores 30% of their armor. Range: 850 Cool down: 15/13/11/9/7 Cost: 70/65/60/55/50

R: Sic 'em - Emits a pulse of supersonic energy that summons 2/3/5 Void-kin Hounds which target the nearest enemies for the void-kin hounds to hunt down. Each best will hunt down the targets dealing 150/275/400 Magic Damage. If the beast attack a target below 40% max health they will cause grievous wounds bleeding the target for 40 magic damage over 4 seconds. The passive is essentially a non-recharging Banshee's Veil that doesn't block spell effects and is entirely reliant on kills, meaning that it's both easily dispelled by enemies and all too easy for the player to simply never benefit from it in a slow or poor game. Other than the rare occasions when you happen to block something incredibly powerful, which is unlikely given that players will quickly learn to pop your shield, this passive brings you very little benefit across the vast majority of the game. It doesn't help that it doesn't influence your playstyle or offer any new gameplay mechanics, both of which Riot seem quite keen to achieve with recent Champions' passive abilities.

His Q skill is profoundly boring, being a point-and-click no-damage debuff, and yet is incredibly powerful as a support skill by late game, making it all very easy for his team to focus down individuals while providing up to 1,500 gold in penetration stats to his entire team against a single target. It isn't interesting at all, as your only concern is timing, and it creates the nightmarish situation of an ADC with at least 61% armour penetration after picking up a Last Whisper. As for the passive, it's difficult to understand exactly how you want it to function as it lacks an internal cooldown or any sort of triggering condition. Does it share the same, extraordinarily long, cooldown as the active skill or is it somehow separate?

I don't mind his W skill in concept but it seems to essentially be a combination of Malzahar's Call of the Void and Azir's Emperor's Divide. My only real concerns would be the low damage, a problem throughout this kit, and the low cooldown for a skill that creates impassible terrain - Anivia's Crystalize, as an example of a somewhat similar concept, has a 25 second cooldown. I'm curious whether Riot have a reason for making these skills have fairly lengthy cooldowns and notable uptimes - five seconds for Anivia, six for Trundle and 5-7 for Azir. It makes me wonder whether a 2.5 second duration might be too short to seem meaningful perhaps.

Your description doesn't make it terribly clear how his E actually works. Is it a simple point-and-click DoT, like Swain's Torment, that always Fears the enemy or something more akin to his Decripify that has a breakable tether? The former would be incredibly annoying to deal with and the latter would still be rather horrible for any melee opponent as you've given the skill 225 more range than Decrepify, albeit without the slow, and literally double the range of Nocturne's Fear tether. The damage is once again incredibly low (Torment does up to 120+90% at level 2) and the base cooldown incredibly high, although I can understand that as part of a skill that might be very unpleasant to deal with. It still feels a bit odd that a skill that seems like it should be your principle damage ability, given that the others are either passive buffs or AoE displacement, doesn't reach a reasonable cooldown until level 5. That would certainly cause a lot of problems.

As for the ultimate ... no. Just no.

A 600 AoE that not only removes enemies from teamfights for **four seconds ** but forces them to attack their own allies and makes their basic attacks deal double damage. Not only does this essentially ensure a certain kill on any target at level 6 with jungle support, as you have upwards of six seconds of CC on Yon'Kai alone, it allows you to reliably win teamfights by simply getting into range to ult them as Viktor. Mordekaiser's ultimate can turn around teamfights by stealing the enemy carry, sure, but this ultimate potentially gives you access to a second ADC with 200% DPS. I mean ... how can you even begin to think that's a good idea?

Then consider that his ultimate has a sub-60 second cooldown with 40% CDR at max level.

Based on what you've given him skill-wise I can only see Yon'Kai as a support, as his long cooldowns and low DPS suggest he'd fare poorly in a solo lane. He certainly wouldn't have the damage to trade effectively with many of the more popular supports but his CC would make for absolutely horrifying ganks at all stages of the game, with his ultimate nigh ensuring a two kills and dragon if landed properly. Ult the ADC and support, stick the resistance debuff on the support and just make sure you land a hit to claim the kill as they tear each other apart.

TLDR:

His passive is incredibly dull, has no connection to his kit, requires kills to trigger and is all too easy for the enemy to deny. His Q has no real gameplay as a sizeable resistance debuff (And nothing else) with a passive that does little to promote interesting gameplay either. His W is fine in concept but could do with some iteration to perhaps bring it closer to similar skills already in the game. His E needs a more clear description but currently looks set to be a very low DPS DoT with a very long range and annoying CC component. His ultimate is horrifying on every level and needs a total rethink. Even if it didn't make your enemies attack each other it would still be one of, if not the, most powerful AoE CC abilities in the game.

He lacks damage, has very long cooldowns (30, 16 and 25 seconds at level 3) and all of his interesting gameplay is bound up in his W skill.

Hrm. At first glance, his damage seems underwhelming, but if you built a void staff and DFG on him, he's a tankeater. Add in, say, an abyssal scepter if he's melee (although his ranges seem to be low enough...), and yeah. He's just made to eat tanks. Except his damage is SO LOW.

Takea champion, put them at 3K health, and you at, say, 600 AP. We'l just ignore MR, because you already kinda do. Alright, so - with the Q 1.5x damage on your E, that's like.... 532ish damage total. Which is.... not good, and that's your biggest hit. Late game, looking at a massive tank (4k hp), and say you broke 1k AP. Alright, so now you're dealing about 772ish damage. Now, this is before runes/masteries (though at 1k AP I assume you have some), you're squishy as all hell, but your scaling is SO LOW that even with the massive shred you do, you aren't going to do a whole lot.

5 Void-kin Hounds * 400 magic damage = 2000 magic damage when your ult is level 3. With 40% CR you can cast it almost every minute (63 sec). I think it's really too OP. And I haven't even spoken about the grievous wounds... But the idea of Hounds running down the rift is really cool!

Luckyghost9112/10/2014, 5:59:23 PM1 votes

they wont hit the same target. they would spread out in a fan, attacking the nearest enemy champs. so one hound would only hit a champion once, for 150/275/400 damage. unless a champion is the only one alive late game, and has Guardian angel on, then they might possibly get hit a second time. But no your hounds wouldn't hit a single target for that much damage each hell that'd be way too op.
