7 New Items - My take on more "Quest" Items

Conceptional Quest Items In response to Alzon's Post Remember they will all seem kind of similar as they build up into a better version one way or another, but that's the idea behind quest items.


UPDATED: 9 Items Now, and 3 bonus non-quest items(reworked from a previous post of mine)

Some items have "UNIQUE Passive" to avoid them being able to have huge stacking power, like the 2nd item.

Item 1: Tower Focused Helps you take down towers, and reduce enemies armor. Item 2: Level Focused AD Bruiser item Item 3: Mana Spending Focused (Not "Spell Casting") AD mana user friendly item, great for heavy AD team comps to add some magic damage. Item 3.5: Build Path Component for above Same as above. Item 4: K/A Focused AD Bruiser Item Item 5: Movement Focused Juicy movement speed with attack speed and attack damage combo, for when crits aren't your thing but you like attacking fast. Item 6: Critical Strike Focused Kind of pre-un-rework true damage IE, adds true damage to critical strikes. Item 7: Heal/Shield Focused Increase the potency of all shields and heals, great for supports like Soraka or Sona. Item 8: CC Focused Lock down enemies longer and resist cc, great for engages. Item 9: Drag/Baron Focused Rounded Item, get more rewards for securing jungle objectives, helps close out games if your team is ahead.

Delthor's Warpick +400 Health +40 AD +20% Attack Speed

UNIQUE Passive - Energized: Moving and attacking will make an attack Energized. Your Energized attacks deal 50-100 bonus physical damage (based on level) on hit. UNIQUE Passive: Energized damage lowers the target's armor by 10-30% (based on level) for 3 seconds and deals 200% damage against towers. UNIQUE Passive - Demolitionist: Gain 5 bonus AD for every enemy tower destroyed, lose 3 AD for every friendly tower destroyed.

Kemna's Ethereal Spear +60 AD +300 Mana +300 Health +100% Mana Regen

UNIQUE Passive - Spirit Blade: After spending 10,000 mana deal 20% of physical damage as bonus magic damage. UNIQUE Passive - Eternity: 15% of damage taken from champions is gained as Mana. Spending Mana restores 20% of the cost as Health, up to 15 per spell cast.

UNIQUE Passive - Life Fuel: Gain 0.5% Lifesteal, 2 AD, and 15 Health per champion takedown or assist stacking up to 30 times(15%, 60, 450).

Leumin's Longbow +35 Attack Damage +25% Attack Speed +10% Critical Strike Chance

UNIQUE Passive: Basic attacks deal an additional 15 physical damage on hit. UNIQUE Passive - Lucky Strike: After hitting enemies with 200 critical strikes gain +15% Critical Strike Chance and critical strikes now deal 20% of the damage dealt as true damage.

UNIQUE Passive: +10% Cooldown Reduction UNIQUE Passive - Unstoppable: Reduces the duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, silences, blinds, polymorphs, and immobilizes by 20% UNIQUE Passive - Immovable: After inflicting 80 seconds worth of crowd control to champions increase the duration of cast stuns, slows, taunts, fears, silences, blinds, polymorphs, knock ups, and immobilizes by 20%

AP Focused Items aren't much of a worry as League already has item 3003 , item 3041 , item 3027 , and item 3907 .

Ancient Wyvern Circlet +100 Health per Epic Monster slain +150 Mana per Epic Monster slain

UNIQUE Passive: Gain +2.5% Cooldown Reduction per Epic Monster slain UNIQUE Passive: Gain +5% Attack Speed per Epic Monster slain UNIQUE Active - Power Shift: Swap between Physical and Arcane Power bonuses.(10 second cooldown) Physical Power: Gain +10 Attack Damage per Epic Monster slain and +5 Armor per Epic Monster slain Arcane Power: Gain +15 Ability Power per Epic Monster slain and +5 Magic Resist per Epic Monster slain

In the case of ARURF Ancient Wyvern Circlet counts all dragons marked as defeated, so it'll shoot up by 4 every time you kill the dragon. This can be very powerful.


Average time to complete?

Towers: 30:00, roughly when games tend to end. Level: 30:00, roughly when games tend to end, though ARURF is an exception. Mana: 16:00, if you spend 100 mana every 10 seconds, though most cases you'll be able to spam it more frequently, so expect between 8-14 minutes on average? But you can always get the 1st component and then wait to upgrade, only spending around 1,200g. K/A: 30:00-40:00 getting 15/15 isn't too hard, lots of times if you start snow-balling you can go 1 kill every 2 minutes, and then team fights get you lots of assists or multi-kills. Move: 8:00, If you move at around 430 units per second. Crit: 7:00, at 1.4 attack speed and 35% crit chance you'll crit about once every 2 seconds. Heal/Shield: 6:30, if you shield or heal 200 every 10 seconds. CC: 7:00, if you land a 2 second cc every 10 seconds. Epic: --:--, limitless so you can just keep on killing dragons.


Non-Quest Items


Nodyr's Timeblade

+55 AD +25% Critical Strike Chance

UNIQUE Passive: +10% Cooldown Reduction UNIQUE Passive: 30% of damage taken is dealt as a Bleed effect over 3 seconds instead. Unique Active - Stasis: Champion becomes invulnerable and untargetable for 2.5 seconds, but is unable to move, attack, cast spells, or use items during this time (120 second cooldown).

Build Path: item 3133 + item 1051 + item 2420 + 1,050g 1,100g+400g+600g+1,050g = 3,150g


Ancestral Wraps of Arkuras +600 Mana +10% CDR

Unique Passive: +15 Magic Penetration Unique Passive - Physical Transmutation: Removes all Attack Damage and transfers it into bonus Ability Power.

Build Path: item 3108 + item 1026 + item 1027 x2 + 850g 900g+850g+700g+850g = 3,300g


Grim Reproach +600 Health +10% Cooldown Reduction +10% Movement Speed

UNIQUE Passive - Retaliate: Receiving damage from a champion grants bonus adaptive force(0.8 AD and 1 AP) for every 1% of your max life taken as damage, including damage taken on shields. Effect lasts 3 seconds. UNIQUE Active - Second Chance: Instantly revive at fountain(240 second cooldown). UNIQUE Passive: Death timer is reduced by 25%.

Pretty good! A couple of these are just statballs and need some sort of passive/active, but the rest are solid and would only need minor number tweaks.

not bad i like a couple of these (Ancient Wyvern, Circlet Kemna's Ethereal Spear, Fulminating Greaves, Immovable Tower Shield) should be made live asap

Darn, I haven't been on boards lately and look at what I missed!

I like most, if not all, of the quest items. A lot of them grants medium-low stats by themselves, but by fulfilling the "quest" their gold-effecienty are quite nice. _______- I might have missed a few aspects of the items since I'm not a big item guy, so if my suggestions don't make sense, sorry. _____- For Leumin's Longbow, I feel like the stats the quest give and the quest itself... contradicts each other. What I mean is that it requires 200 successful crit, yet grants critical chance in return. Wouldn't the player already have very high crit chance by the time the item is finished? I think making it grant AD or even 5% movement speed will be better. Of course, for pure on-hit champions like Kog'maw and Varus, this item can still be a very potent pick.

As for Ancient Wyvern Circlet. I simply love it, especially as a once - shyvana - main. The idea behind it is admirable, but I feel like it gives too much power for successful takedowns of epic units. In a game where a team gets 5 elemental dragons, 1 rift herald, 1 baron, and 1 elder drake (would be sad if they haven't won yet xD), the total stats will be:

  • 700 Health
  • 1050 Mana
  • 17.5% Cooldown Reduction
  • 35% Attack Speed
  • UNIQUE Active - Power Shift: Swap between Physical and Arcane Power bonuses.(10 second cooldown) Physical Power: Gain +70 Attack Damage and +35 Armor Arcane Power: Gain +105 Ability Power and +35 Magic Resist

I know I'm overexaggerating, but it is a possible situation. Personally, I also feel like items like this should be the privilege of the jungler. So perhaps make this into multiple items? where each focuses on a different stat (like the normal jungle items) and only players with smite can get them?

Just a thought, but besides those things this is a true quality post. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
