Nice skin, but I would prefer other candidates for a legendary Project. Quinn for example.

Erm, what? Quinn does not have a Project skin, lol. That picture is a fan made concept, which is highly requested for years now.

I would like to see Taric get one too. It'd be nice to have other supports for a PROJECT: team composition.

I honestly don't see any other supports getting a cybernetic aesthetic.

Taric is more of a star Guardian Project is for fighter like Characters and Personalities look at all the previous Champs

They could always do both.

Oleandervine1 votes

They could do others, but they'd have to get creative. I personally don't think Taric fits the line at all. He's not really war driven or compelled by fighting like the other PROJECTs, so his personality doesn't fit.

Interestingly enough, who DOES fit, and would definitely need the legendary skin for the line, is Karma. She's actually a perfect candidate because she's already poised on the knife's edge of using war and peace to propel Ionia into the future. Her autos, and her Q, could EASILY be explained by some kind of high impact energy rifle or other weapon, much in the same way that they gave Omega Squad Veigar and Steel Legion Lux different takes on how their magic is used because of the creative way they were given functional weapons.

You know I have speculated Karma getting a PROJECT: skin! I would like to see that happen. It'd be interested to see her Ionian Regalia become galvanized into a PROJECT: weapon.

I do know that PROJECT: Vayne's quote, "One more iteration and they'll have no need for us" hints that there might be a final line of PROJECT: skins. Perhaps Karma will be the end all solution between PROJECT: and Programs.

Actually, Diana works with the Project Line. I wish they had left it one-weapon users (Sorry Lucian and Leona - both skins I own by the way)

Sukishoo2 votes

cough Katarina cough not a ONE weapon user.

Oleandervine3 votes

Leona doesn't use two weapons. A shield is a defensive tool, not a weapon. It can be used as a weapon at times, but then so can a jar of peanut butter or an old toaster.

Sukishoo1 votes

I love using Toasters as weapons! They are the BEST kind XD

Chembaron Yamada2 votes

That's a bit nitpicky about terminology, isn't it? That's like me saying Ashe doesn't have a weapon, since a bow is considered sports equipment and not a weapon by law.

Oleandervine2 votes

Your analogy only makes sense in the 21st century. Back in medival times, the bow was a weapon, used in warfare. Only moderately recently in history did the bow become classified as sporting equipment and not a weapon.

And that still doesn't change the fact that a shield isn't a weapon. Weapons are specifically designed to inflict damage, and a shield does quite the opposite.

Zed, Katarina and Vi would be excluded then as well. I never saw "using just 1 weapon" as a requirement for that skin line, how did you come up with that?

I don't think it's a requirement, it just works better (to me). Yi, Yasuo, Fiora, Ekko - it's just something that seems to work better with the concept. I think they totally went off the rails with who gets that skin. The original concept was technology taking over your soul. But I don't get that Leona, Vi, or Vayne would have that - and still pursue their agenda.

Kayn would have been a good choice. I love Diana. Azir could work. Xin or Wu possibly. The skins seem to go best with champs that have a single-mindedness to them. For example, it would look dumb on Maokai, but at least he has the focus. It wouldn't work well with Trynd, but his character makes sense.

It has a Darth Vader element to it.

I thought that Vi was a great addition to the skin line. I never got the feeling that Project is about technology taking over the soul, more about the big questions of transhumanism.

If I can transfer my mind and personality into an artificial body, am I still human? It's one of the leading questions in Ghost in the Shell, which is a big inspiration for that skin line in my opinion.

While champions like Jhin, Vayne and others (like shown in the short story) rely on augmentation without questioning it, Vi is different. She is a cop who wants to rely on her own abilities instead of using an upgrade.

So in my opinion, there are still alot of champions who could fit in that universe. Jinx Irelia Quinn Riven Talon Diana

But I would prefer to stay with human champions only. So Wukong would be ruled out for me.

Question is: when did she make that statement?

Looking at the short story, which is the most recent and reliable source for lore information right now, it seems pretty clear for me that this philosophy changed for Riot.

Because Vi in that short story clearly didn't gave up her humanity.

And I kinda prefer these ghost in the shell vibes alot.

As a Diana main, I really want Diana to have a PROJECT skin- though I'd prefer her color to be white-silver rather than purple! I wish she could have been in this recent series of "hunters", I feel like it suits her playstyle well. But if they do put her in, I'm sure they'll find another project niche to put her in.

I think an overlooked champion who would make a good PROJECT skin is Shaco. It's a shame, he would've gone pretty well with the last releases as another Jhin, another PROJECT champ using their augmentations to be a serial killer. Every champ has had their own unique color scheme... and I'm really feeling black and white for Shaco. I can just see him digitizing in a cloud of data, only to reappear moments later with Pulsing black and white daggers at your throat (or in your back.)

They should really make a (legendary) Project: Draven skin. All they gave him thus far is a stupid santa skin.
