Warwick Rework Ideas Riot Please Give an Update ( Riot ZenontheStoic)
I just would like to know from any Riot (hopefully ZenontheStoic) employee if the rework is still in progress or if it's been shelved. That's all I ask.
I have a few ideas to help the wolf take back his throne as the true hunter of the jungle, not some lion. They sleep like 20 hours a day, lazy animals.
Anyways, here they are.
**Passive Blood Hunter: When an enemy is below (x) Warwick gains increased attack damage and movement speed. Also allows for empowered attacks. Warwick grows in size and drips blood from his claws. ** Idea behind this is that the E currently on WW is really dumb. I have to turn it off before I gank and back on during the gank. I always level this skill currently last because I see no need to level it otherwise and that it gives away my location. Those two things really make this a wasted skill for much of the game. Putting the visual indicator on WW does two things, keeps his location unknown and keeps with the theme of when he smells blood he become the threat, not just a guy that runs faster.
Q Reckless Rising Claw: (Skill shot in a very short forward direction does not move champion's location) Warwick swings with a powerful uppercut dealing physical damage and very slightly knocks up the first enemy champion hit. Empowered Q will heal Warwick and apply a slow as well.
Pretty simple, the knock up is very minor, basically a bit of utility to help in a gank by providing minor crowd control. Warwick looks for the weakest of the group to prey on and this gives incentives to a jungler to gank a lane that has taken damage and giving his Q a secondary affect that reflects this play style helps. If you were to go top lane Warwick Q would be your main source of poke and pushing the lane. The damage shouldn't be too high but would act similar to the way Yasuo's Q works but is aimed. It pushes the lane and is the main way to harass but with a bit of range and is wide enough to hit three creeps at once. Also keeps the heal on his Q but gives it a condition so it's not permanent sustain with no counter play.
W Frenzied Leap: (Skill shot that moves Warwick's location and through narrow walls) Warwick leaps in a direction with powerful legs, if he comes in contact with a champion he stops moving forward and delivers a powerful overhand strike. The shock wave from the impact damage enemies in a small area. Empowered W knocks the enemy champion back slightly while sundering their armor
This is basically nothing more than a dash with a bit of CC and utility. Again this helps his friendly member deal more damage to a target while providing a gap closer. This will help him gank without always depending on his ultimate. The small AoE damage would look similar to Bard's basic attack when he has a meep ready to fire off. Just a small cone of damage behind the target. A little more utility and shoving power if WW were to be taken into a lane.
E Hunter's Call: Passive - Warwick's attack deal a portion of magic damage and heals him for the same amount with every auto attack. Active - Warwick let's out a howl and puts himself into a frenzy, increasing his attack speed and that of his near by allies. Empowered E will reduce the attack speed of his enemies by a small amount near him for a short time as they grapple with their fear of facing the blood hunter.
Keeping the current passive and group utility for team fighting and pushing. Also offers a bit of utility to help his team when he does dive the back line and is able to be in the middle of the enemy team. This will help him survive just a bit longer by lowering the damage he'll take from consistent auto attacks.
**R Infinite Duress: Using his ultimate will immediately put Warwick into an empowered state for a short time afterwards regardless of the health of nearby champions. Warwick marks a champion and barrels towards them, stunning (or suppressing them) for a short time, his next three attacks against the marked target are heavy blows that leave a target bleeding for a portion of the damage. **
Since his W would be the gap closer, his ultimate doesn't need a lot of range. The idea is less about not letting a person move or having a black shield or QSS completely neuter your ultimate but rather solid damage. So say a QSS is used, the stun is ignored but the target is still marked and the next three attacks against them will do bonus damage. Gives him some real lock down power if need be and still gives him the ability to hurt even the most armored of targets with his bleed.
I would like to see his passive work with levels in that he becomes empowered easier, as if he is losing control of himself, the longer the match goes on. For example, he starts off being empowered when an enemy is at 50% HP, later it's like 60% and then 70%. He constantly is enraged and a threat. He becomes more sensitive at detecting even the slightest wounds that push him over the edge of reason and into the realm of rabid beast. This also allows Soraka to still counter him in her own way. She heals people, keeping them healthy enough to keep the wolf at bay. So even in a game there is that lore aspect to it.
Anyways, thoughts or comments are welcomed but all I would really want is from ZenontheStoic about any update he could provide.
