Illaoi is a stupid champion. Her kit is a terrible design. It is. She's a melee champ that does all her damage from range with almost no CC.

You used to be able to auto Illaoi to make her clone of a targeted champ disappear, now you can't. Her wave clear is beyond absurd early on and lets her basically shove into turret freely. It's risky as hell to gank her because her ulti will allow her to 2v1 easily or at least make everyone back off. Now is she busted?

Short answer: No. Is she overtuned? Yes.

Her kit is so bad that the only way to make her remotely viable is to keep her base and scaling values along with a shorter passive CD that it becomes so incredibly oppressive. These absurd numbers strengthen her terrible design kit. I never saw anyone play her before all these insane buffs, now I see her constantly. Her pressence is much higher and people have learned how abusive her numbers are.

Riot, you need to lower some of her numbers and not make it so being counter picked by Illaoi, or blind first picking her isn't so rewarding. Her kit needs to be worked at because it's terrible, and her numbers need to be lowered and offered counter play.

Her kit has nothing but counterplay, what?

She isn't mobile, she is forced to play around objects that she can't fully control how they spawn, she has no cc, no tankiness, no mobility while being a champion designed to be balls deep into five people, she has no escapes, and if she doesn't land her E, she does no damage.

All her abilities are dodgable/interruptible except for her ultimate and if you walk away from her, there is literally nothing she can do to stop you.

She ultis, walk away.

She grabs your soul, walk away.

She is walking towards you wanting to land her E, walk away, and she is so horribly slow that by the time she plants herself, the pull either misses or you can get far enough away that the tether breaks before she even land a single ability.

Illaoi is one of those champions that looks OP and unstoppable when playing around her, then you play her and realize that her counterplay has counterplay, it is why she doesn't see all that much play, because she isn't that good and once you fully understand her kit, you see she honestly has more downsides then upsides.

Instead of complaining take the time and try the champ against high mobility champs or range

i hate that you can't auto the clone now but other than that, she's not that ridiculous. there's plenty of worse champs
