I know that we just got this champion, but what is your first thought? I think we already have enough plant-like champions: Maokai, Zyra or plant-like skins: Blackthorn Morgana, Elderwood Hecarim
I feel like he's more of a lazy earth Character instead of an evil or vengeful one

He hasn't been released for more than an hour how could you know yay or nay. Jhins teaser was really different from his gameplay remember?
Just because they're plants doesn't mean it's not original though. Heroes of Newerth were capable of making 3 different plant heroes without making them seem alike. I think League of Legends can do the same easily then.
I would have to wait till they release more information on him, namely his kit, before I give any real thoughts on him. Though design wise, I do like how Ivern is. Sort of like a cross between that Satyr from Pan's Labyrinth and Treebeard from Lord of the Rings, granted we haven't seen much so I can't really say much but I still like it. Him being a plant-based character doesn't really bother me unless they just make him play differently, after all that's like saying there's too many tech-based characters. IE: Jayce, Viktor and Heimerdinger.
