LOL started developing champions in a new level!!! We get new champions/skins that have another, new level of gameplay, e.g. We get Elementalist Lux Lux , who can change her element of magic during the game; Xayah Xayah and Rakan Rakan , that are better played together (feel free to add more examples of non standard champions/skins); Spirit Guard Udyr Udyr , who can change his inner beast.

What I thought is....why there won't be a character that can change it's class during the game?

Let me bring you up a little, raw lore...

_There was once a powerful Shuriman mage, that wished to gain more power, so he studies Vastayan genetics and fused her body with a body of a Lion and an Eagle to create even powerful creature to withstand her enemies... _

This champion (lovely sphinx) can change from mage, which is the human part of his identity, to a fighter - lion parts and an assassin - eagle part. The character is a hybrid like some of Vastayan and other champions. Also, most of the legendary or mythical creatures exist in LOL, besides sphinges, which makes me sad, as I love them so much. Thus I thought of a character, whose parts of body, that belong to other creatures, have significant meaning. In this case - the class of the character - whether he uses her human side - his soul, his eagle side - his mind, and his lion side - his strength. This champion is not like Spirit Guard Udyr, it doesn't change his appearance while fusing its class, it just changes the attacks - the actual role, but the outlook remains the same. The players, who know the gamestyle of the classes (attack style, weakness, etc) the character can fuse to, can decide for themselves, if they want to change it. At the beginning they can choose its role, but if they change their mind they can change the role.

Just like Elementalist Lux he can charge his fusion and change all his attack styles and etc according to the class the users changes him into.

So, that brings up the question, how does one counter such a versatile champion?

League has traditionally had problems with form-changers, since they typically possess the strengths of both classes yet the true weaknesses of neither due to they ability to form-change (Gnar was the most recent example; they had to make the transform relatively volatile and stay in it for a while.)

I don't like Sphinx. The idea is interesting. I thought of a simpler one like a Passive that grants you Armor (tank) or Damage (adc/burst) based on which bonus you have more of. Not necessarily as complex as changing skills, but letting you adapt your game into a tank or carry as needed.

Well we do have champs with form changes who basically have different classes depending on their forms. Like Jayce who is an adc or fighter depending on his form.

However the big problem with something like this is that on the one hand, itemization for the champ can be very tricky and on the other hand it means that etiher the 2 forms are somewhat depending on each other(pretty much all the formchangers have a ranged form to weaken the enemy and a melee form to finish them off) or the forms need to be worse at what they are doing than other champions,to make up for the added versatility, which would honestly kinda suck.

Though I agree that we definetly need a sphinx in the game ;)
