Blood Moon Jhin's missed opportunity?
Hi every1,
So everyone is pretty excited about the recently announced Blood Moon skins that will be joining the skinline including me but i can't help but feel that something is lacking from the skinline as a whole. Don't get me wrong the design and VFX are amazing but the all seem to focus more on the "blood" part and less on the "moon" part of the skinline.
1 skin imo that actually serves the title fully is Blood Moon Zelian, more specifically his Q where an eclipse is shown to happen before it detonates. https://youtu.be/_atMhUtGWqU
It's true that the symbol of the moon is shown alot throughout all the skins but the actual moon is nowhere to bee acknowledged. In the new comming skin Blood Moon Jhin i beleive Riot had an amazing opportunity in showcasing the effect of the moon/an eclipse in his ult. At the moment the ony thing changed is the music playing and the color of the shots, but what would make it totally amazing is adding an eclipse effect when casting the ult and the curtans opening. Instead of like normal a thin shadow emerges from where Jhin casts his Ult and extends gradually throughout the whole range.
I imagine people commenting things like " the shadow would affect gameplay, make it harder to see, indicate where Jhin is ...etc." and to that I have a few opoints. 1st the shadow would be light (even lighter than the one used in Zileans Q) aka not too dim to affect gameplay but enough to empower the concept of the skin. 2nd It's already easy/a nobrainer to know where Jhin stands when using his ult judging by the ult shape and the effect of the curtain unfolding so yeah.
Anyway that's just my opinion on the subject. I would love to see the moon paying a bigger role in the skinline and this would be pretty amazing if implemented.
Ty for your time ^^
