What if Sonic the Hedgehog were a League character? (Champion Concept)
Hi, So I thought it'd be fun to think of how Sonic may play on the Rift. There aren't any specific damage numbers included here, and aspects I may not be sure should be included are in brackets []. Also, for my interpretation, Sonic is a melee champion, possibly excelling as a jungler, mid laner, or even top laner. Thanks for reading, and let me know what you think! What kind of skill set would you give the hedgehog?
Passive: Ring Collector Sonic starts the game with 1 golden Ring, and gains a new Ring upon leveling up. Slain enemy champions, large minions, and large/epic monsters also drop 1 Ring that Sonic may collect. Sonic can carry up to 5 Rings. His abilities have no cooldown, but cost Rings. [Sonic drops his Rings upon being hit with hard CC, but cannot be killed if he has at least one Ring.]
Q: Homing Attack (Costs 1 Ring per target) Sonic channels while jumping into the air for .75 seconds, then jumps to the nearest enemy target (prioritizes champions), dealing physical damage and landing at the target's initial location during the channel. Subsequent presses of Q before Sonic lands cost an additional Ring, but allow this attack to be chained up to 5 times, with the same .75 sec channel time before each strike.
W: Sonic Spin (Costs 1 Ring) Sonic dashes forward, knocking aside and dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit. Champions hit cannot be knocked aside again for 15/12/10/8/5 seconds.
E: Light Speed Attack (Costs 2 Rings) Sonic channels for 2 seconds (which shouting "Ready..."), creating lock-on reticles visible to both teams on up to 1/2/3/4/5 targets in range (prioritizing enemy champions). Sonic then attacks all targets (shouting "GO!") and returns to his starting position. This attack is instantaneous and cannot be stopped, but individual targets may be shielded, leave range, etc. This attack deals true damage.
R: Super Sonic (Costs 7 Chaos Emeralds) Passive - Takedowns on enemy champions or Epic monsters scored by Sonic and his team forage Sonic one Chaos Emerald. Each Emerald obtained increases Sonic's damage and movespeed by 3% (stacks up to 7 times). Sonic automatically acquires any remaining Emeralds upon leveling up the rank of this ability (at levels 6/11/16).
Active - Sonic transforms into Super Sonic for 10 seconds. During this time Sonic is invulnerable to damage (not CC) and gains 50/75/100% increased movespeed, but cannot attack or cast abilities. Instead, Super Sonic rams through enemy units, executing lane minions and knocking aside enemy champions. Champions can each only be knocked back once during this time, and the knockback distance is increased based on Sonic's movespeed at the time of impact. After the 10 seconds, all Chaos Emeralds are lost, [releasing a burst of magic damage to nearby enemies.]
