Looking for Wardens - Volunteer Moderation

Hello!

With Wardens being tested in General Discussion and doing well, we are looking to expand to the rest of Boards. We are looking for Wardens dedicated to specific sub-boards or roamers. The list is below and you will be able to select through the application.

  • Gameplay
  • Memes & Games
  • Story, Art, & Sound / Concepts & Creations
  • Roleplay
  • Roaming Wardens (looks over several of the smaller sub-boards)

The deadline for applications will be at the end of 6/5/2017 and continuing with phase 2 which will include a short voice or chat roundtable interview. We will be selecting qualified candidates who possess all or most of the following attributes we are looking for.

Warden Application

Qualifications

  • History of frequent engagement and currently active in sub-board selected or Boards in general (roaming)
  • Does not have an excessive history of breaking the Universal Rules or in-game punishments
  • Open to taking constructive direction in moderation and working collaboratively with Riot
  • Thick-skinned and the ability to detach personal feelings from moderation activities (stay calm and diplomatic in any situation)

Warden Privileges

  • Name color, Warden title, and icon on the Boards http://i.imgur.com/Gc8fJmj.png
  • Visibility to reported content
  • Delete discussion and comments
  • Disable commenting in a discussion
  • Pin a comment
  • Sticky discussions

Warden Expectations

  • Be active in the community and facilitate discussions
  • Keeping the sub-board clean per Universal Rules
  • Be fair and distance from favoritism
  • Escalate discussions or comments as needed to Riot
  • Be the voice of the community and share those concerns to Riot

I've had a few fuckups in the past (to be transparent, I had a two week chat restriction back at the end of 2015, and I've quarreled with a few people in CaC before), which I've since apologized and moved on from, but otherwise I'd be 101% willing to volunteer as a Warden for CaC / S,A,aS. I'd also nominate a few other quality CaC posters like Echoing, Raxistaicho, fugertech, and Arakadia, I'm sorry if I forgot anyone. I'd vouch for these four in particular and I hope they'd vouch for me. I'm an active poster in CaC and have judged contests there before. I filled out the forum and submitted.

Oh, I forgot to add this. Some steps I'd take as a moderator is sticky CCOS's and other contests and a running list of champions made by individual posters - e.g. a thread of hyperlinks to other threads containing the list of concepts made by RlVER KlNG, made by Raxistaicho, etc. Would be a lot of work but would help with organization. I'd also like to work with Sharjo and help his content get more visibility.

I probably won't make it and the whole thing is terrifying as hell to me, but someone has to do SOMETHING about the slew of off-topic posts here drowning out perfectly good concepts.
