Roy, the Master of Fudo (enemy of Piltover)
Lore
**In a city **where techmaturgy was the dominating and prosperous field, it was inconceivable that there could be any who opposed such great inventive progress. After all, techmaturgy improved the lives of all the people it touched. Whether it was helping the citizens of Piltover see things they couldn't see, travel distances not easily traveled, or find people and objects claimed missing, techmaturgy seemed to work on the side of the people wherever it presented itself. In fact, most uses of techmaturgy seemed beneficial and harmless to the citizen of Piltover rather than the opposite. However, among the oldest groups of citizens in Piltover, techmaturgy was seen as a curse. It was an abomination that would lead to more of the likes of the Zaunist scientist Viktor
in the future, and they had to to do whatever they could to stop it. Secretly, these citizens formed their own cult to abolish techmaturgy from Piltover forever by employing techniques learned from the faraway land of Ionia: body-homing martial arts that would allow them to combat the various hextech-powered weapons and tools of war that arose from techmaturgy and plan a revolution. They called the culmination of their techniques Fudo. And after years of planning and training the youth, they began. To most of the citizens of Piltover, seemingly from nowhere a cult arose to declare a revolution against the techmaturgically advanced government and society of Piltover. And they disappeared seemingly with no warning the next day. What actually happened was that they were no match at all for the techmaturgical weapons and were quickly apprehended of by the young sheriff of Piltover at the time, Caitlyn
. Hextech-powered weapons were simply too powerful for the ill-equipped masters of Fudo to deal with with their martial arts alone. The coup was stopped, and it seemed that the misinformed cult and its arts would remain extinguished from the memory of Piltover forever. However, it was then that a gifted young boy, who watched as all the family and friends he ever knew were executed and slain by Piltover officials for treason, realized his destiny. He secretly learned and practiced the arts of Fudo as written down in scriptures by the cult while studying the advances and capabilities of techmaturgy. And over the years, he grew into a fine, well-educated young adult. After graduating from the best schools and interning at the best research labs Piltover could offer, Roy had come upon the day he would start changing his life forever. With all that he'd learned, he created the ultimate pieces of hextech attire in a secret underground lab. They were thin, light, and flexible to allow the use of Fudo techniques, but increased the power of their wearer tenfold while also providing protection equivalent to that of reinforced plate armor. With these pieces of techmaturgically advanced clothing, Roy joined the League of Legends to gain influence and exact revenge on the very people and government officials who oversaw his most loved ones' arrest and executions.
"The art of Fudo shall live on, even if its masters do not - Roy."

Roy, the Master of Fudo
Roy is a melee fighter who specializes in quick and speedy combos. His unparalleled agility lends him toward a playstyle like Riven's (more like an action/fighting game character than most of the League).
**Hextech-Fudo Arts (Passive): **Roy gains a burst of movement speed that quickly decays each time he dodges an enemy champion's ability. He gains 50% additional attack speed from items, but caps at 1.50 attack speed.
Roy's passive is* Hextech-Fudo Arts. *Dodging champion attacks or abilities grants him a burst of movement speed that's useful for escaping or closing a gap to targets. He gains attack speed faster in the early game from items, but caps at a lower attack speed as well.
**Swift Jab (Q): **Roy throws an extremely fast punch forward in a line, carrying himself forward with it in the process. Swift Jab knocks back and deals physical damage to the first target it strikes.
Swift Jab is Roy's Q. It can be used both offensively and defensively and causes Roy to instantly punch forward in a line.
Whirlwind Kick (W): Roy performs a fast sweeping kick on the ground, dealing physical damage to and knocking back slightly all enemies struck in an AoE around him.
Roy's W is Whirlwind Kick. When used, Roy quickly sweeps the area around him, knocking enemies struck away from him. Again, like Swift Jab, Whirlwind Kick can be used both offensively and defensively. Offensively, he can kick enemies back slightly by positioning in front of them as they try to escape to cut off their escape route. Defensively, he can knock enemies away as he Swift Jabs to make his getaway.
Somersault Grapple E): Roy grabs the first enemy in a short line in front of him before somersaulting as he flings his target backward towards the direction he's somersaulting. The target thrown is slowed for one second after landing. If Roy does not grab a target, he does not somersault.
*Now it's pretty clear Roy can use all of his abilities offensively or defensively. Roy's E, Somersault Grapple, is no exception. Using his E, Roycan grab a minion and flip himself backwards to escape. Alternatively, Roy can grab an enemy champion and completely ruin their life by flinging them into his team. Somersault grapple does have a long cooldown, however, so Roy has to be careful not to miss. *
Evasive Roll/Sprint (R): Roy evasively rolls a short distance, becoming untargetable in the process. Self-casting this ability causes the speed boost from his passive to double if activated within the next four seconds instead. Up to three charges of Evasive Roll/Sprint can be stored at a time, and using Evasive Roll/Sprint quickly in succession (within two seconds) exhausts Roy when the roll or sprint effect ends, slowing his movement speed by 90% for 0.75 seconds and putting his ultimate on cooldown for five seconds.
Finally, Roy's ultimate is evasive roll/sprint. Casting evasive roll lets him roll a short distance while dodging enemy fire. Self-casting sprint may not make him untargetable, but is more useful for covering longer distances he can just dodge a few enemy skillshots. However, Roy has to be careful not to spam his ultimate even though it has three charges, or he'll incur a debilitating self-slow from exhaustion.
