Lore: A normal child, born in the slums of Noxus. At the age of 10, fate betrayed him, as his family was slaughtered by a group of witch doctors, whom sought to harness sacrifices for their king, whom they called "Malus". Malus was not a living being, but a crystal, powered by the souls of the deceased. How the crystal came to be is unknown. The crystal spoke to the mages, promising dark power to the man who proves himself worthy. The child, kidnapped, was tortured, and forced into believing the ways of the doctors. As years passed, the boy's hate for the doctors grew larger and larger, but powerless, he could do nothing but what they asked of him. As he lay in his cell, a small dagger in hand, stolen from one of the doctors, something in his mind began to change, an evil lust for revenge filled his head. As he stood up, the doctors released him from his cell, to begin his work. With a swift motion, the boy cut down one the doctors, but his dagger was of no chance against the doctors evil magic. He was quickly subdued, and brought to Malus for sacrifice. As the boy stared into the crystal, a small grin appeared on his face. Malus began to shine. The crystal shattered, and the pieces impaled into the boy's body. as he rose, the boy was no longer a boy. He became a grown man, with the darkest aura any of the doctors had ever laid eyes on. The boy and Malus were one. As the doctors desperately tried to kill Malus, he struck them down with horrifying magic, much stronger than that of the doctors. The boy's innocence had been lost. He was no longer himself. He was Malus. Filled with lust to further gain power, Malus sought to harness the strongest of souls in all of runeterra. Where could he find such souls? Only one place had his answer...

Malus is a Mage/Support champion that uses his enemies power against them. Focusing on a mix of High AP and health, the idea of him was totally not based off of the one witch doctor champ that never actually made it into league. Malus focuses on punishing enemies for attacking him, and using his spells to secure kills, while guarding his allies with his shield and totem.

Passive: Spite: Enemies that damage Malus take a small amount of true damage over a few seconds. (Scales with level.)

Q: Totem Of Death: (Skillshot) Malus conjures an evil voodoo doll at a target location, acting as terrain and blocking movement and skillshots. Enemies that attack the doll revive a high amount of Magic Damage (Cannot hit the same champion more than once.) Malus can reactivate this ability to destroy the doll, dealing moderate Magic damage to surrounding enemies.

W: Wicked Shroud: (Auto) Malus shields himself or target ally with a dark veil for one second, the first attack that hits the shield is negated (Both damage and effects), and 50% of the damage heals the target instead. (Similar to Sivirs Spell Shield, requires precise timing.)

E: Soul Tether: (Straight Line Skillshot) Malus sends out a line of dark energy ahead of him, latching unto the first champion it hits for several seconds. Tethered enemies are dealt a small amount of Magic damage over time, the longer the target is tethered, the more damage that is dealt. (Similar to Leblancs chain, or fiddlesticks drain.)

R: Promise Of Death: (Self Cast) Malus fuses himself with evil energy, significantly increasing his health for a short time. Champions that damage Malus during this time become cursed. After several seconds, cursed Champions are dealt equal Magic damage they dealt to Malus + ___

Quotes:

Moving: "There will be blood" "They will know pain" "Yessss"

Upon using Totem Of Death "Come, Mortal." "Stare into the eyes of death."

Upon using Soul Tether "Your soul is mine" "Fall to me, mortal"

Upon using Promise of Death "Know my Agony!!!!" "Death awaits!!"

Jokes: "I'm too unique for this" "I'd tell you a hipster joke, but that's too mainstream" "My name? Malus, you've probably never heard of it."

Taunt: "Join me, pathetic mortal" "Your soul is weak."

Upon joking near an undead champion (Sion, Karthus, etc.) "What? Undead? Bah, you're useless to me."

Upon taunting Lucian "It's a shame that I didn't get to her first"

Dance: Malus jumps around in a circle pattern, chanting words in an unknown language

Visuals: Malus is dressed in a dark long cloak, his face shrouded in a dark mist, with only glowing red eyes visible. In his right hand, a dark staff with a purple crystal at its tip. His doll (Totem) looks like a voodoo tall, standing upright, it is about the same size as him. His shield looks to be a dark mist surrounding it's target. His tether is a purple line of energy with a demonic hand at the end of it, which grabs enemies. Upon using his ultimate, Malus has a large and frolic purple "flame" or aura around him.

Seems like you're wasting the voodoo doll concept. Perhaps it should be that Malus should be able to soul tether the totem and a enemy champ. Portion of damage dealt to the totem would be transferred and detonating the totem would transfer full damage. Although this steps on the toes of Illoai. Or Malus can soul tether the totem and damage dealt to him is instead dealt to the totem.

So good news, this guy can completely wreck anyone who attacks him; bad news, he doesn't seem to have any direct damage output beyond his E. I guess he could just be a high-difficulty Support, but I worry that some may consider his sheer amount of backlash capabilities to be a bit excessive. I guess you could also just make him squishy to make up for how much health you're bound to lose. I dunno, I guess he could be plausible, but it might take a bit of testing before we see what would need to be changed.

he needs a different ult and passive and his lore is poorly written. Other than that, he's OK

wait, there's a witch doctor kit i ahem 'doctored' a while back off of something much less involved that someone else posted

tell me what you think, maybe this will give you some ideas

Arzu, Caller of the Vile

passive - Vile Presence | 600 radius Arzu is accompanied by vile spirits, causing her to have a constant Vile Presence zone anchored to her with a 600 unit radius. Every 12 seconds, a Presence briefly appears and possesses the nearest enemy champion within that 600 unit radius if it is able. The target is stunned for .5 second, taking no damage, and then afflicted with Lingering Presence for the next 3 seconds (refreshed by taking basic attack or spell hits from Arzu). If Lingering Presence manages to stay on the target for 6 seconds, it possesses again: dealing 1.0 AP magic damage, stunning for .5 second, and disappearing. Some of Arzu's abilities leave a Vile Presence at their cast location. These Presences have a 600 unit radius, and 12 seconds after appearing they will attempt to possess a nearby enemy champion and then disappear. Vile Presence will not attempt to possess a target already afflicted by Lingering Presence.

Q - Dancing Doll | 400 range Arzu creates a dancing fetish doll at a location that heals allied champions for a small amount of their maximum health every few seconds and increases their resistances by a flat amount. The doll is accompanied by a Vile Presence which serves as the doll's lifetime. If Arzu reactivates this ability, the fetish bursts apart, dealing .6 AP magic damage in a small (300 unit) aoe, slowing those hit, and leaving behind the Vile Presence. Otherwise, the fetish will burst apart on its own after 12 seconds as its Vile Presence seeks to possess a target.

W - Spirit Grounds | 300 range | 600 radius Arzu creates a rift in to the Spirit World in a large area for 8 seconds. Arzu's first basic attack or spell hit on enemies within the zone deals .4 AP bonus magic damage, and if they are within Dancing Doll's aoe they are feared directly away for a short time. Afterwards, they are afflicted with Exposure to the Vile for 4 seconds, taking .1 AP magic damage every half second while they remain within the zone, stacking at 50% value up to an additional two times for every Vile Presence zone they are in for a maximum of .4 AP per second. multiple Spirit Grounds do not stack. (this is Arzu's main source of damage, and can quickly melt targets if Exposure to the Vile is fully stacked)

E - Hostile Expulsion | 800 Range Arzu raises a zombie at target location which animates after a short delay, accompanied by a Vile Presence. The zombie then lashes out at the nearest enemy champion or monster within 150 units if it is able, dealing .6 AP magic damage and shoving them 300 units away (can push enemies over walls). The zombie then topples to the ground, leaving its Vile Presence at that location.

R - Blood Calling | global | 600 Radius Arzu begins channeling, immediately creating a Spirit Grounds at the targeted location. After 1.5 seconds if Arzu continues to channel, all Spirit Grounds zones pulse with energy, dealing .2 AP to those within and afflicting them with Exposure to the Vile if able (dealing the bonus .4 AP magic damage). for the next 1.25/1.75/2.5 seconds while Arzu channels, all enemies within a Spirit Grounds zone are enthralled to walk harmlessly toward Arzu.

anyways, this is the kit. Feel free to draw inspiration from any of the abilities

His kit lacks any depth whatsoever. And those quotes are really cringey. Nice idea but go back to square one.

I really like the idea of him though his kit is very spread out if the chain rooted the target it would chain into his totem detonation but it looks like a lot of his kit is based on damg he takes so maybe instead of a heal that's activated he has something closer to TahmKench grey health attached as a passive to it and when he pops his shield it heals him for the grey health bar it wouldn't be as broken as kenchs regen but it would give him heavy sustain in a team fight making him sustain more damg
