Short Lore: Soseki Hatari is heir to the Shi clan,a clan of martyrs who devote their lives to selflessly serve their idea of Ionia. A fate that must be chosen. Yet Soseki was born to this selfless idea and molded himself to serve it, spending his entirety of the life practicing the blade and idolizing the ideas of the Shi to become the idea heir. But upon losing everything in pursuit of his ideal the Shi clan, in advent of an age of peace is ordered to cease its military activities. With his clan and its ideal slowly wilting Soseki tries desperately to prove that the Shi clan are still needed in this age. Even if he starts wondering if there’s something beyond his duty…...
Kit:
Passive: Shi Style “Every strike with a purpose. That is the fundamental of Shi style.”
Soseki practices a style Ionian technique known as “Shi Style”, this technique places heavy emphasis on slowly searching for a weaknesses before waiting for the right moment and cutting down your opponent in a single breathe.
-Soseki cannot gain attack speed from runes, masteries, items, or buffs from other champions and items. Instead any attack speed he gains is converted into bonus AD at a rate of 3% bonus AD for every 10% attack speed.
-All champions within 1000 units of Soseki gain a debuff called Shi Style. For 60/50/40/30 seconds the mark remains inert. However after the the 60/50/40/30(scales with ult level) second downtime passes for 1.5 seconds Soseki’s AA will do an additional 100/150/200(scales with ult level) +20 of total AD. Every autoattack Soseki does on an enemy champion reduces the downtime by 1 second.
-For every consecutive strike during Shi Style up to a cap of three Soseki’s AA will deal an additional 150/200/250/300 physical damage + 10/12.5/15/17.5% of bonus AD per strike. If Soseki procs Shi style three times during the duration of Shi style his next AA executes for 6/8/10/12%+1% per 50 bonus AD of missing health as well as always crits.
Q: Flowing Steel Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds Soseki fiercely swings his sword battery enemies and projectiles away.
Soseki swings his sword in the direction of the cursor in a 100 degree angle destroying all projectiles and pushing all enemy champions in range of the strike as well as dealing 60/80/100/120/140 + 60% of total AD.
Applies the the effects of both Sakura and Byakua when active.
W: The Bird and the Blossom Cooldown: .5 seconds ACTIVE: Soseki swaps between his two blades Sakura and Byakua.
PASSIVE: Sakura: When wielding Sakura Soseki’s AAs and spells apply a petal shaped mark on the opposite side of where AA/spell hits(EX:if Soseki hits the front of a champion the mark appears behind him). He can have up to three marks on a champion at a time.
-If more marks are applied the mark with the shortest timer fades.
-Marks last for 30 seconds.
-If Soseki AAs one of these marks he strikes with 60/70/80/90/100% attack speed and gains 10% ms for .25 seconds.
Byakua: When Soseki AAs while wielding Byakua Soseki gains 15/17/19/21/23% movement speed for .75 seconds. While equipping Byakua Soseki can AA while moving.
E E: Dance of Feathers ACTIVE: Soseki selects an area within 400 units of himself. A blurred image of Soseki will appears on that spot. This image moves in conjunction with Soseki so it always stay in the same place in respect to Soseki.
EX. If Soseki moves up so will the image, if Soseki moves to the right so will the image.
After 2 seconds of being casted even when CCed Soseki can reactivate the ability to dash to where the image was dealing 100/120/140/160/ 180 +30% of Bonus AD physical damage as well as applying Byakua’s and Sakura’s effect to does in his path when they are activated.
R: The Fall of Flowers ACTIVE: Soseki selects a champion gaining 60%ms when moving toward this champion; all enemy champions within 1000 range of the selected champion and in vision of Soseki copy the Sakura marks of the selected champion. A 600 range circle appears around all champions affected by “The Dance of Blossoms”. For all champions that were not selected a clone of wind of Soseki appears in their circle. This wind clone mirrors the movement of Soseki in the selected champions circle. The clone disappears when AAed five times. Even though these clones AA when Soseki AAs they only deal damage when Soseki procs Sakura mark and the clone will only deal half the damage done.
If Soseki kills his target Shi style is refreshed and he can recast “The Dance of Blades” on another target with a clone still alive taking that clones place. When recast all of clones are healed to five his but no more clones are applied to champions not originally hit or have destroyed of their clones.

Long Lore:
The setting sun casted a fading, orange afterglow on the young man as he slowly strode through the forest of sapling and rotting stumps. The young man was none other than Soseki Hatari, heir to the Shi clan. He bears of the appearance expected of one of his status; his jet black hair is wonderfully kept, his dark blue kimono is of the fine cotton, and the golden sign of the Shi clan is embroidered on his his back. By his side are two swords, the first sword is Byakua, a sword of renown and legend. A masterpiece of a sword crafted with the finest Ionian steel and gilded with gold, it’s the pride and joy of the shi clan. The other sword is the opposite, while Byakua is a sword of legend Sakura is standard everyday sword which you could buy in any sword store in Ionia. Yet Soseki always kept both. At last he arrives at a familiar site; a ruin of what was once a small village slowly being reclaimed by the newly sprung forest. Soseki smiles sadly as the the past slowly creeps up on him. He unsheathes Byakua and Sakura and starts swinging them around, an act he had done countless times in past that seemed like a dream. As he continues to practice the buildings seem to repair themselves transforming into elegant houses of red cedar and white birch and the past overwhelmed him.
Among all the various clans of Ionia the ancient Shi clan stands out as an oddity. While most clans are bound by the ties blood and filial duty the Shi clan rejects this ideal. No,those of the shi clan are bound not by a sense of blood ties or of duty but an ideal; a selfless wish to protect their nation despite their own lives. Anyone with this wish is allowed to join the Shi clan and pledge their life to Ionia by becoming a sword to the nation. Devoting the rest of their life to practicing and keeping peace within Ionia and finding their own sense of justice. All members of the clan chose this fate themselves. All of them except Soseki Hatari, the heir to the clan.
Soseki Hatari is the son to Hanzo Hatari ,the head of the Shi clan. Despite the fact the head of the clan is succeeded by the clan’s decision Hanzo arrogantly wanted one of his lineage to succeed him. So he deemed the young Soseki, his sole child to succeed be the one to him. So while other children of the clan were taught to be open minded and explore their world Soseki was taught the sword and to serve Ionia above all else.
Soseki’s mother and the elders of the clan were horrified by Hanzo’s decision. The choice to become a selfless sword of Ionia is a fate that is meant to be chosen not born into. But when they confronted Soseki the little boy insisted that he continue his training no matter what.
So Soseki forsook his childhood to train in the way of the Shi clan. It was rough on the young boy. Soseki was constantly thrown around as he tried to train with the other members and it seemed that it was too much on the little boy he simple didn’t have any talent to keep up with the clan. All members of the clan demanded that he give up, and even his father, finally realizing the magnitude of his decision begged Soseki to stop. But the little boy kept going, when it was clear that he wasn’t enough he doubled his efforts and practiced non stop.
But Soseki was not alone, despite their misgivings his family supported him. Even though Hanzo regretted his decision dearly when it was clear that Soseki would not quit he decided to take responsibility for his actions and train Soseki to the utmost of his abilities. When Soseki struggled to learn a technique Hanzo would patiently walk him through no matter how many times it took. Even spending the young boy a specific technique. Soseki’s mother despite her bitterness over Soseki’s decision always gave her utmost support to Soseki. She always encouraged and supported the young boy as his devotion started to waver. Even though Soskie never understood why, the two would always take Soseki on journeys throughout Ionia to see what lay beyond their village.
On one particular journey the family visited a sword shop and as a present they would buy Soseki a sword from the shop. When given the choice of which sword he would like the boy came back with the finest sword in the shop. When asked why he had chosen that sword Soseki replied that it would be best to serve the clan. Much to his confusion his parents sent him back to find the sword he wanted. So Soseki went back into the sword and brought the second finest sword. Again his parents asked him why he had chosen it he replied it was the the sword that allow him to serve the clan the second best. Again Soseki was sent into the shop, but this time he remained in the shop for several hours. When he came out he brought back a standard looking blade with cherry blossoms decorated across its sheathe. Again Soseki was asked why he had chosen this blade which he replied embarrassed that he liked the patterns on the sheathe. Much to his confusion his parents bought him the blade which he came to call Sakura.
And as the years flowed by Soseki’s efforts slowly started to show. As a child and a young boy Soseki practiced in solitude . But as a teenager and a young man Soseki constantly challenged the strongest members of his clan. When he was defeated he would spend weeks non stop training. While his friends and classmates ran out to play in the woods or explore Soseki trained and rematched the members of the clan until he eventually won. He kept going until he had defeated the strongest members of the clan. When it was clear that Soseki was the clear successor to Hanzo, his father bestowed upon him Byakua his legendary blade wielded by the head of the Shi clan. Soseki accepted the blade yet despite having a far superior weapon he always kept Sakura along with him which for some reason delighted his parents.
But then it happened; on one fateful day great ships of iron appeared on the coast of Ionia bearing a black and crimson flag of an ax. As the ships landed hundreds of iron clad warriors disembarked on to the white shores of Ionia razing all they could find. The Noxian-Ionian War had begun.
The Shi clan retaliated immediately; the clan assembled at the southern end of Ionia to stem the invasion front line to stem the invasion. For years they fought on front line fighting endless legions of iron warriors, dodging noxious zaunite artillery, and fighting various abominations wrought by Noxian sorcery. After four years of standstill fighting fighting the Ionians managed to drive the invaders to a stronghold in the mountains. If the Ionians could drive them off they could end of the invasion of Southern Ionia but if the Noxians could hold the mountain they could continue their invasion indefinitely. So the Ionian’s mustered all the armies of the area; the Shi clan, the Hiten clan, all elders of Ionia brought whatever forces they could muster to seize the stronghold.
The siege began on a pitch black night. Ionian warriors marched forward to assault the stronghold. Greats vats of green acid were hurled across the sky lighting up the battlefield in a deathly green light as Ionian mages desperately tried to counter the assault with sorcery. Ionain steel bit at Noxian iron, spirits of nature brawled him necromantic abominations, and Hanzo engaged the foremost general of the Noxian army.
As the battle raged on steel shattered on iron, abominations broke the spirits of nature and Hanzo Hatari fell to the ax of Noxus. Soseki enraged took up Hanzo’s mantle and engaged the Noxian commander. At last the sun began to rise on the battlefield, shattered steel finally pierced battered iron, the abominations finally fell and Soseki finally found his opportunity and cut the Noxian general down in a flurry of steel. The Ionians manage to rout the Noxians forces sending them back to their iron ships.
But the fight was not over, there was one last decision to make. The Noxians had split up, some of their forces went back to their ships while other went to attack the countryside where their home lay. The Ionians could only deal with one force, if they dealt with the force attacking the countryside they could prevent them the sacking of the countryside and their home. But if they attacked the ships they could end the invasion in Southern Ionia. With Hanzo dead the split second decision decision fell to Soseki and as always Soseki made the choice that would benefit Ionia the most. He would put the country before himself and would order the attack on the ships and deal with the raiders afterwards even if it meant losing their home.
After a few more years and victories the Ionians managed to drive the Noxians from their shores. The Noxian-Ionian War came to a close and at last Ionia could at last be at peace. But all was not well. Just as Soseki feared the Noxians had attacked his village leaving it in ruins and his mother killed. Despite his sorrow and regret Soseki truly believed he made the right decision.
After the war came to a close the clans of Ionia were called to a meeting at the Placidum. There they would discuss and decide the future of Ionia. Soseki was among the representatives chosen to represent the Shi clan (even though Soseki is heir he doesn’t feel he has enough experience to take up the role as head so he remains the heir). There the council of representatives and elders discussed how they as a country would change Ionia discussing topics such as the role of ninjas, technology, and the value of tradition. When the time to decide the future of the Shi clan came the room quickly became uncomfortably silent. After some time Elder Karma breaks that silence stating much to the Shi clan’s representatives horror that it would be better if the clan ceased all police action indefinitely. With Ionia entering a time of peace what use was a self ruled police force? How could Ionia truly find peace with an armed, self ruled force that adhered to its own rules watched over the lands? To this end Karma and the council decreed that the Shi clan was cease all of its military activities.
Soseki sheathes Sakura and the past vanishes leaving weed covered roads and ruined building in its absence. Night had fallen shrouding his former home in darkness. What was he to do? He had lost everything; his home, his family, his childhood, his everything to follow this one ideal and now that ideal was fading away. He could always join the military but that would mean forsaking the ideas he held dear and becoming a dog to the government. As his hand brushes over Sakura he wonders if he could leave it all behind and start a new life?A life without the blade? A life where he could finally No! He firmly grips Byakua, he’ll prove that the Shi clan still needed in this age of peace. With that Soseki slowly strides back into the forest of saplings and broken stumps, yet his hand never leaves Sakura.
Also autoattacking while moving seems very interesting, though it needs mastering and could be too strong in right hands.
That's all I have to say. Anyway, in the future don't put so much effort into the numbers, because they can be changed etc.
Have a nice day. :d
