I miss historically inspired skins. These are just some of them, there are many others but there hasn't been any recent ones. I understand that its a lot harder to make historically inspired skins for newer champions, but I would still like to see at least an attempt to return to making these skins.

Why are we talking about stuff being sexy and what not? I just want more historically inspired skins. If i wanted more sexy skins i would be asking for another line of star guardians and what not.

Winged hussar Xin is probably one of my top 5 skins in the game just because its a reference to an obscure historical unit used by poland in its war against russia. Its cool, and a nod to history buffs like myself. The newer skins aren't bad, but more historical referenced skins would be cool

how does cultural appropriation tie into any of this? where are the people complaining about these skins?

Culture Appropriation is why we can't have historically inspired skins or champions because everyone is afraid of offending someone else. I for one also like historically inspired skins.

I know what it is, I just don't care about it and I don't think that people dislike if there were more historically inspired skins

why are the comments plagued with comments about sexy skins? objectively, nothing is sexier than a polish winged hussar, and no amount of arguing will ever change that

I myself would also love skins like this to but I feel that Riot has been avoiding them because people are so quick to call it "cultural appropriation" as it's becoming somewhat of a hot budget issue on the internet lately. Look at Overwatch for example, most of their Chinese New Years skins got tons of hate for trying to make Asian culture "exotic" and "sexy" even thought that wasn't what Blizzard was trying to do at all.

Well if you give someone like Fiora a skin like Soaring Sword its not as big of a deal due to how detailed models are in League and how a good deal of characters in Overwatch are by default pretty "sexy".

The same could be said about League, a lot of the female champions are by default pretty and beautiful. Even some of the guy champions to.

Yeah but if you look at every female in Overwatch, they nearly all have thin wastes and big hips. And all the human ones have very little to cover up their body's natural curves, retaining a silhouette of the popular hourglass shape.

In League, you don't have the models nearly as detailed or as big either.

Okay but your definition of sexy is not the same as mine. Its like art is in the eye of the beholder, its subjective.

And Overwatch is still a game. Their intent is not to make sexy characters, their intent is to make cool, developed characters many of whom are sexy.

Whats sexy of Sombra. Whats sexy of a full rubber outfit and big eyebrowns on a teenager and whats sexy about a leather and plastic combined armor with a staff and energy wings and nano blood stuff in your blood keeping you young for enernaty?

Definition of "sexy" varies between people, in case you didn't know.

For example: Jinx Some people may tell you that this champion isn't sexy, since she doesn't have big boobs, tattoos or other reasons.

In my definition, Jinx is the sexiest champion in the game right now. I have a thing for small boobs, I love the punk clothing style she has as well as her tattoos and her long hair is godly.

You don't have to share the opinion that specific characters are sexy, but that doesn't mean nobody does or even the majority shares your opinion.

But if you don't believe me: just google fanart for these characters. I bet that alot of them will highly suggest you that these characters can indeed be seen as sexy.

Sure. I find Katarina sexier in a long full body covering black or crimson dress than in her kitty outfit.

I'm not going to argue who is sexy and who isn't because you and I are attracted to different things.

However if you look at Overwatch females they generally have their hourglass shape retained through their clothes. Even though a lot of them have battle armor (Pharah) their ankles and other parts remain super thin. Just take a look at Widowmaker or Pharahs ankles. And some of the characters could be more covered up in some people's eyes.

Widow was meant to be sexy. I dont seen anything feminen in Phara in any of her skins... Mercy is using tech to keep her in her most perfect apperance, plus the valkyrim armor needs to be light. Tracer is a runner so she needs extra light armor and has a pretty skinny body tbh. D.va is a typical korean shapre tbh in a rubber based clothes. Mei is chubby and short. Sombra is half chubby tbh... Symmetra has a normal slim figure. Zarya is sexy as hell with the male figure... Seriously. Only sexy im OW is Widow and she is meant to be sexy.

p.s again saying. Only widow isnt fully covered. And thats some silly cleavage.

My point isn't that Phara is sexy but that even with a full military combat armor suit she keeps her hourglass shape and thin body.
