[Champion Concept Preview]: The Wild Painter (Relaunch)

We all have our beginnings. And no matter what, we have to acknowledge them. I started out doing champion concepts in my head, and eventually found Champion Creation Contests, my first ever being The Great Hunt, hosted by The Red Goat. I entered a nice little fellow by the name of Percy, an artist who wandered Valoran in search of inspiration for his works. Gameplay wise, he was a high engage Mage (secondary support) which relied on his paint/persistent effects for an edge. Although he was kind a gentle spirit, Percy got into some trouble, both lore and kit wise. His abilities left behind paint, which was more or less a wibbly-wobbly weirdy-beardy mechanic that didn't make a whole lot of sense kit wise. He was suppose to have stance/persistent effects like Udyr and Sona. There was no clear cut reason why things behaved as they did, and as such, he became a bit muddied as far as what he was able to do, and didn't really have a downside other than his passive which didn't make any sense other than to force his abilities to cost something else than mana (they costed mana too, just this was added on top).

Dear, sweet Percy has gathered some dust in the last couple years. His appearance became outdated as yordle anatomy became better explained, his kit fell out of sync with the meta, and straight up was more complicated than it needed to be. But everything starts somewhere. As my skills have gotten a bit better I'd think, I thought it would be fun to comeback to where my enjoyment of creating champion concepts all began. So keep an eye out for the Wild Painter, he's looking to make a comeback, and like myself, leave his mark on the world.
