Dragon Journal Entry

Whew! As one of the boss monsters, a little extra love went into the Dragon, including an additional two pages (depending on how you look at it, more or less). I am by no means an expert at what I'm doing, but I learn and try different things as I go along. Hopefully it pays off, because this is nothing compared to what I have planned for Baron Nashor. I might do another page or so for Dragon and attach it later, but as it stands, it's looking pretty.

As you may or may not know, I also planning on doing Bilgewater/Burning Tides journal entries as well, probably going to come with a different author. This will be made obvious in a variety of ways, all for your guys' enjoyment.

Any who, that's enough from me, enjoy!

You've outdone yourself this time :) The added 'photograph' is great fun and the scales really push it over the top! You said you've learned things as you've done these - can you explain a little about what you've found does and doesn't work? I'd be interested to hear about your journey from the first attempts to these latest examples.

I have always enjoyed your Journal series and appreciate the work you have put into them. If Riot ever created a page dedicated to explaining Summoner's Rift, I could easily imagine your work being a part of that.

That last page though... how dragons make nests and later guard their eggs and the attached photo showing our dragon protecting its nest, the implications make me feel bad for killing dragon.

If you talk to Riot after finishing Baron, I wonder if they'll put all your pictures together somewhere on their website? :o

Hey great job! Love reading a bit more about our friend the dragon c: Just a bit of feedback, I don't think the corner decorations are a good idea (quill and ink, glasses, leaves). The lighting on them is different so they ruin the feel that I'm reading a book, and they just don't make sense. Why have 2 quills sitting on the same page, and why are those glasses so tiny? Maybe a bookmark could be cool! And I think you have the right idea to include something, otherwise it would look to plain. Maybe add edges to the paper, so it's like you're reading an actual book? With the sides being all ruffled and worn and seeing pages underneath. In terms of the writing, I think it would also be cool to include details about this particular dragon. Where did he come from? Who has he fought? What's his wing span? IS IT A HE OH I WOULD LOVE FOR IT TO BE A MAMA! I would love to see another 2 pages focusing less on dragons and more on our friend we see on the rift. Really great work though, keep it up! :D

Overall awsome work.

just one note: I think it would be better if the text was arranged around the scales, and the photo beeing slightly smaller or positioned lower so it doesn't cover the text. I asume the person that added the scales and photo is the same that wrote the text, and if i were that person, i would try to not cover up my text with that.

Update? Update!

More on the dragon has been added, though I'm not certain it's up to par with what I usually put out, mainly because it's a page of text on one side, and an image on the other (closer to the standard design for journal entries). I may have made the SR dragon too mysterious, but I was apprehensive about what I was going to write. May have to fix that at a later time.

Alright guys, Baron is underway, but I'm working (and struggling) to make it the best it can be. This means a mix of "first" hand accounts, old stories, anatomical analyses , a bit of wear-and-tear, etc. I'm hoping to do a lot for the big guy, so fingers crossed!
