since when they are dead they can no longer bury themselves anymore.

Krugs will most likely be next, and perhaps the author after that. Rest assured, whatever beast or creature you wish to know about, our writer will have you covered ;)

Don't fret, a part that got cut out is "Whenever this occurs, The Scuttle Crab may undergo a means of self-reproduction, using its own body as a sound nest for their offspring." I hope this helps your conscience a bit.

Fair point, but this doesn't 100% rely on the Scuttle Crabs in game behavior, more so it as a creature. I actually haven't seen a scuttle respawn though, though you see it moving back underground to its location when it dies. I'll take your word for it, and update Scuttle Crab's entry to support this, and remove the burden of guilt on the Scuttle Crab attackers.
