I love the art, but the name is an ill fit. Hanami is generally happy, bright and bustling with tourists, this concept has none of that. It makes better sense to call this "Blood Moon Maokai" than "Hanami Maokai".
it's nice but you but its also weird because its basically a taking an already belief. Oni and call its a tree spirit....see the problem mokai is a tree spirit as for those less educated a treant is a tree spirit.. it just feels like it would be tough to find a suitable name. uhhh I mean it is nice though. ..... a name that sticks.....hmmmm I mean the hanami is flower viewing but.... I GOT IT
Sacred Maokai
Just wanna point out the majority of references used in the concept art are mainly Japanese not Chinese. Unless this is the art that China made, then if so sorry about the correction.
Other than that this seems like an interesting skin to see in game.
I love the design, but it seems a little too close to Totemic Maokai. Thought similar skins haven't stopped anyone before. Just look at Volibear.
this and the idea floating around of Seasons Maokai where each skill is a different season but since his VU he just looks bland to me :/
