Skin Team, why does Inquisitor Nautilus have unique particles/effects, but Maurader Ashe doesn't?

I was thinking about Inquisitor Nautilus after seeing a review of it in the forums, but what I don't get is he got completely new effects (The fancy shields instead of his typical effect of the hatches on Titan's Wrath, but from what I understand with the Marauders, most significantly Marauder Ashe, was denied any of the new stuff because its "750 RP", but isn't Inquisitor Nautilus 750 RP too? I'd appreciate some explanation if you wouldn't mind. Not really upset about it, just curious.

We change a particle when it's something that would look really awkward if we didn't.

For example, Nautilus' Titan's Wrath shields on his base skin would look really out of place with the new armor he's got. We also changed his eye glow because having two red glowing eyes coming out of a helmet with six slits would look pretty crappy.

We did the same thing with Sivir's Boomerang Blade. It wouldn't make sense if it looked as though she were throwing a different weapon, as compared to the one she's holding.

We felt that Marauder Ashe still made a good amount of sense, even with her base particles.

Alright, thank you for taking the time to reply. I agree with your reasoning completely, and it does make sense he gets the changes over the others, but I still would've liked seeing changes on them :P

Marauder Ashe is such a fantastic concept but the lack of change in effects completely ruins the entire idea of the skin. If only the particles can be just recoloured, to something like red or hell, even grey, it'd become so much more worth it. Honestly it seems like 750 RP tier skins are in generally just wasted ideas, little more additions to their particles and stuff would make them so much better and the price tag of 975 RP for them would be perfect for that too. At least they'd be worth having for their overall package.

I'm sorry, but ashe's skin does NOT look good with base particles! By no means does it look good! Incase you haven't been paying attention to your own feedback thread for ashe's skin, everyone hates the skin because their are no particle changes. The skin looks terrible with red accents and then light blue particles. This is a horribly missed opportunity on your part and I find it hard to believe that anyone will purchase this skin. I just don't understand the point of limiting yourself on creating an awesome skin, like why would you hold yourself back? This skin had the potential to be ashe's best skin, but without particle changes the skin is lackluster to say the least and I would rather have any of her other 520 recolor skins over this one, because even though the outfit is awesome, it clashes so hard with the base particles that it actually takes away from the outfit itself and makes is visually unappealing.

Would you consider simply coloring the particles on the arrows that she fires Black? Both the arrows that she is holding and the arrows in her quiver are a steely black. In fact, I for one think the icy particles fight against the amazing concept of this skin: A darker themed Ashe who has finally turned to whatever means necessary to make sure her people are safe, even teaming up with the notorious werewolf.

I have recently been very impressed with the strong thematic elements of riot's recent skins, such as El Tigre Braum and Firecracker Jinx, and I am very happy that Ashe has been chosen to represent some of this new, more deliberate tier of skins. Therefore, I don't think you should hold yourself back in making this skin as true to its vision as possible, without regard to its price tier.

I for one, as a dedicated Ashe player, am thoroughly impressed with this skin, as it fulfills a fantasy I have been waiting for in a dark-themed Ashe skin, and I would love to see that theme carried over into her arrow particles: it would be as if her armor and choices have truly tainted her, like the black frost on Anivia.

Additionally, she's finally wearing ~~clothing~~ armor! :D I'm, very excited. I could even see this skin having voice processing because of the helmet she is wearing, and would have no qualm about it a change in price tier simply because I know this theme was pursued to its greatest extent on Ashe, a champion that I am unfortunately a fan of despite her relative 'niche' among marksmen.

TLDR: I love this theme, and am thankful that Ashe is getting more love. For that reason, however, please don't stop yourself from making this theme as strong as it can be on her. I think many would be extraordinarily pleased with a change to Ashe's arrow particles, even it is a simple cosmetic change such as with Amethyst, and would not qualm about a price.

That sounds like they're going to change the particles here. The original particles look /pretty/ strange with this skin.

The blue particles just look bad. and completely unfitting. You could just change the color to black or red. That kind of work should barely count as an effort. I don't play Ashe but I've seen a ton of people already who would otherwise be into the skin but who were turned away by the mismatched particles.

Sherwood&Woad Ashe have green particles and those were just 520RP skins. Blue arrow looks awkward to fit in this dark theme, scarlet would be highly preferred and black or grey would be fine too.
