Haha, yes. I highly doubt it will happen though, at least not an ultimate, just because his model is pretty old and Riot tends to want to update old models before giving them good skins (Since they would have to redo it anyways.)

Since Riot no longer does Visual Updates, he was reworked not that long ago and is considered as overall healthy champion he won't get any updates in like next 5 years so he is doomed to never receive any legendary/ultimate skins.

Haha, don't treat is as a fact just my calculation. Gragas isn't on any VGU lists and there are many other champions that are officialy on this list (more than 11 if I remember correctly). Seeing that they do like 3 reworks per year it will take them some time to get to Gragas.

gragas needs a visual update by the way... he looks really bad , he is like from a game boy game character looking .. but really fun to play !

My thoughts exactly but guys from Riot said that they won't do (EDIT: standalone) Visual Updates anymore as champions who need it also need overall rework. They completely ignored exceptions like Gragas, Anivia or Shyvana to name a few leaving them to rot.

They got VGU (Visual and Gameplay Update). Standalone Visual Updates are no more, they are now always paired with Gameplay Updates.

O interesting... Kinda lame too. Some champs, like Gragas, Kassadin, Annie, Anivia, Amumu, Kat, and many others could use varying degress of visual tweeks, but don't necessarily need full gameplay updates. On the other hand, champs like Pantheon, Fiddlesticks, Rammus, Nunu, Skarner, Teemo, and Zilean could all probably use the full monty.

They've only said that they currently don't but they still can. Especially once they've done most champions that are fairly dated in kit design, there won't be much need for reworking champs.

Yeah but the list of outdated champions is so big that with current pace this game may be dead first.

Not necessarily. Lux has a pretty dated model as her base and early skins (before Star Guardian) could really use an UMPH and she has the newest Ultimate skin.

True but her model didn't look super dated, plus there are models that are easier to work with. Someone with a lot of thin limbs and light effects doesn't look completely different even when you make a brand new model. Something big and chunky with pretty obvious edges like Gragas is harder to make look like the same champion when you create a higher tier skin.

Not saying it isn't possible, but it is pretty unlikely just based on how Gragas specifically looks, although if they did some super overhaul similar to how battlecast skins look I imagine they could get away with it since those naturally look very different so model differences aren't as apparent.
