Dimerol Energy

  • Recipe: 1 Aether Wisp, Two Amplifying Tomes and 680 Gold (2400 Grand Total Cost)
  • Stats: 80 Ability Power, +8% Movement Speed
  • Passive: Successfully performing a snare, stun, knockup, taunt, polymorph, fear or charm on an enemy champion will increase your movement speed by 1, up to a maximum of 50.

This is basically a pure ability power item that attempts to give crowd-control dependent mages an extra pair of tier 2 shoes for inflicting crowd control. Most mages that are immobile have similar crowd control traits that were supposed to compensate for their immobility, but things turned out not working that way. This item is a more simplistic attempt to give certain mages a high-end, straightforward movement option.

High Synergy Tier: AurelionSol Bard Gragas Janna Lissandra Lux Ryze Syndra TwistedFate Ziggs Zyra Moderate Tier: Annie Anivia Brand Heimerdinger Kennen Morgana Nami Swain Veigar Velkoz Xerath Zilean Meh Tier: Ahri Cassiopeia Diana Ekko Elise Fiddlesticks Karma Leblanc Lulu Malzahar Orianna Sona Viktor Impossible Tier: Akali Evelynn Fizz Katarina Kassadin Mordekaiser Nidalee Vladimir Other (Don't do it) Tier: Corki Jax Irelia Pantheon RekSai Skarner Udyr Varus Volibear Warwick XinZhao All tanks (Primary) and several supports.

  • With the exception of Mordekaiser and Vladimir all mages that cannot utilize the passive purchase this item already have mobility options. Both have been announced for tweaking consideration for the mage update.
  • Out of the people in the not-worth category, Casseopia, Fiddlesticks and Malzahar are the ones without natural speed or movement modifiers. Cass & Malz has also been announced for tweaking consideration.
  • The mages that benefit with other mobility perks are Bard, Gragas, Janna, Kennen, Ryze, and Zilean.
  • The reasoning behind making the item AP exclusive is to make a sharp distinction as to which champions should purchase the item. Supports and tanks will not be likely to attempt buying it over other items. As for the champions mentioned in the previous bullet, only Zilean, Ryze and Kennen would have a more general attraction to the item.
  • I imagine the icon would look like a general crystal orb imbued with multiple prism colored sparkles.
  • At first I thought about disallowing the item from getting multiple stacks from hitting more than one enemy with the same spell, the list of champions that can abuse the item with multiple cc effects are either in the tank category with low AP scaling or Ryze/Kennen while ulting.

This is simply a concept in the making. Does it feel underpowered? Overpowered? Feedback would be appreciated!
