Banner of Command and Zz'Rot Portal Quality-of-Life suggestions!
The following ideas are something I've had on my mind for a while, but I forgot about them until the notes to Patch 7.23 mentioned changes in the structure of minion and turret capabilities. Since this update seems to be showing more love to the split pushing theory, now might be a good time to talk about them.
Auto-Ping + Message Upon Usage
This concept applies to both items. Basically your team will get a ping and message letting you know that the item was used. If the Banner of Command buffs a minion, the message will additionally tell you what type of minion has been buffed (and perhaps the lane) just because. Maybe the signal can help convince your farm-happy ADC partner to not shove the top lane the item was trying to stealth push. Maybe...
BoC Dramatic Transformation This is the big one IMO. One of my main gripes that I've had on the Banner of Command for years was its inconsistency of helpfulness. First off, if you're a support using this item, you're inherently putting your team at risk by running to the aide of a siege minion instead of the ally rally. The notion feels even worse when the minion you buff bites the dust by one-and-a-half waves. This primarily happens when the siege minion you aim for is ahead of the pack and will stay ahead only to get focused. That is why it would be nice if the item temporarily freezes the targeted minion for about as long as a Warwick suppression before being buffed and going manmode. And perhaps a more modern sound effect could be used for this concept to top it off!
TL;DR - The Banner of Command can should temporarily freeze a minion before buffing it.
And that's it really. I highly doubt either of the ideas are gamebreaking, as the purpose of the items are pretty fine as they are. It's just that they can use just a bit more presence and consistency is all~
