[Rough Draft Champion Concept] Valor Company, the Fluid Unit [Title Pending]
This champion concept explains what the concept does and how it does it. It does NOT explain stats or indepth skills with numbers. Just an overlay of what you can expect. This is to see if people want this champion to be more fleshed out (I.e. Ability numbers and effects to be seen rather than explained). Below you will find a short background, a description of the champion concept, ability overlay (explaining how it will work and look like), a description of how the champions mechanics work and how they can be used. I hope you enjoy. Please rate up, vote below in the poll, or comment what you think and if you want me to flesh out this champion more with numbers. I will tell by how things are voted and commented. Thank you. ^_^
Health of entire Unit at lvl 1-18: Medium-Medium High Melee ranges: Short-Medium Far. All other stats vary upon each individual. See Appearance and Champion Ability Overlay for more details. Thank you. Any questions feel free to ask. Role: Tank/Fighter/Support
Background A legend. A group of men who all have a unique fighting style and work well together. Their tales spread far and wide. A tale till the ends of time. The archers arrow so pure and true you'd think he was shooting three of you. Spearman sturdy, strong, and brave. His piercing spear shall break the light and lead the way. Rogue so sly and quick. From your back he'll steal your clothes and weapons too. This is what he does to you. Raging beast and fiery pride. The wolfman does not hide. He'll tear you to shreds if you're not careful. His strikes leave all in fright. Then at the middle, and leader of the group. A stalwart fighter, how do you do. His shield and sword so strong and true. You would think he was born with them.
Valor company. That holds true. You're in a pinch, well that's what we do. Fall out men. We got a job to do.
*"The whole is greater than the sum of its part. Though we're pretty deadly in our own right," - The leader of Valor Company with a smile on his face when asked if they were only good together.
The image used is not my own. It's quite amazing though as it portrays what I have wanted for this champion design which is unique in its own right. All rights for the picture belong to the original artist. I found this via google. Thank you.
Appearance http://digital-art-gallery.com/oid/73/640x505_13053_Battle_for_valley_2d_fantasy_concept_art_war_warriors_battle_picture_image_digital_art.jpg What you see is what you get. This is what the unit looks like, but they would be....brighter and a bit more colorful in league. Their names are: Neros, the Rogue. Leo, the Spearman. Zion, the Archer. Kai, the Wolfman. Yorn, the Knight.
Neros, small and nimble. His attacks are quick and cause bleeding and slows. As well as a little something, something upon each hit. He increases the parties attack speed.
Leo, sturdy and precise. His attacks pierce through to the next enemy. His attacks are slower than Neros and Zion, but have armor penetration and pack a little.....kick after awhile. He increases the parties armor penetration.
Zion, accurate and deadly. His attacks strike true. He rarely misses his mark. He is so quick and skilled with the bow that he is able to hit multiple targets, and even an area. Raining arrows down from the sky. He increases the parties movement speed.
Kai, strong and brutal. His attacks are sluggish, but hurt a lot. He feeds upon his victim allowing him to regen health per hit. He rends through his enemy allowing him to deal a small amount of true damage. He increases the parties health regen.
Yorn, sturdy and noble. His attacks are graceful and true. He takes less damage than any of the other five and bolsters the entire party. He is the main core of the group. Mediocre across the board. The middle ground so to speak. He increases the parties Armor.
How this concept will work Valor Company works in a similar way to Uldyr in that this champion concept switches between different forms, but instead of being some kind of martial art for him to use it is a different person with unique traits. Each ability will be one of the people in Valor Company. With the except of Yorn. Q=Neros. W=Leo. E=Zion. R=Kai. Pressing any one of these switches the current active member to that character. Upon switching they gain all benefits of that character. Activating it again will return to Yorn. You always start off as Yorn. Each ability you get adds one more character to the unit and allows you to switch to them with very short cooldown times to allow fluid changes of characters. This is the core mechanic to this champion.
Example: Q rank 1. Yorn starts. In battle you are yorn, but then press Q. Instantly switching to Neros. This change is NOT on a timer so you are Neros until you switch again. So, by pressing Q again you will switch back to Neros. If you have a rank in each then it goes something like this. Q->into Neros, presses W->Leo, presses W->Yorn, presses E->Zion, presses E->Yorn, presses R->Kai. Etc. You can completely control and regulate the changes this way in any way possible.
This champion concept is meant to bring a unique feature to league. Changing characters on the fly to compensate in certain areas and keep the opponent off track and guessing. Of course, Valor Company is not without its drawbacks. Switching to a character at the wrong time can severely hurt Valor Company and cause immense damage to the unit.
Each unit is its own separate entity, but are one. Stuns take that member out of battle and are doubly effective while bringing in ANOTHER character to take over. This essentially makes them difficult to stun, but stunning at the right moment can take the character hurting you out of the game. This is a double edged sword against lux's snare as it can effective be used to block it as it will hit two of the units in Valor Company rather than just go by. Allowing Valor to be a good counter against it. However, snares turn into stuns for Valor Company. Thus, switching out the two hit and leaving them behind while the rest go on. They return after the duration is over, but you're unable to switch while they are stunned or snared.
Valor Company has almost no escapes or any sort of engage. They are a unit that is meant to defend an area and make it hard to advance. They lack almost no chasing potential. They help to harass and hamper their enemies. Their fluid combos in unison combine for powerful effect if pulled off. This makes them an excellent support and defense for teams.
Valor Company shares health and magic resist. Valor Company uses no mana or resource. Each character in Valor company gains stats per level of the entire unit. Rank in the ability (Q, W, E, and R) do not effect these stats. The ability ranks only increase the passive bonuses each give the entire party (Even when not active), and themselves (Only when active).
Champion ability overlay Passive The passive would be used to allow a more fluid transformation. It will incorporate an essence of Kalista. Attacks already in motion cannot be stopped upon switching characters and upon switching they will attack upon taking the previous characters place no matter the distance. The ability cooldown to switch between each is low, and at the higher levels gets almost instant, but still with a timer. Think Uldyr.
Example: Zion is mid attacking, but you switch out to Neros. Zion will attack just as he is switched out. Neros will leap at the target Zion had just attacked and then bounce back to the location of when he was switched in. Each animation varies from character to character, but all of it flows together.
Q-Neros: Highest attack speed and second lowest armor rating. Tied for shortest attack range. While active he attacks fast and causes bleed. Every attack has a chance to steal a small amount of gold. Chance and amount increase with rank. Bleed increases with rank. The bleed also slows enemies. Passively increases entire parties attack speed. Attacking an enemy with shattered armor increases the slow.
W-Leo: Third highest attack rating and armor. Leo's attacks are the second slowest. Every attack pierces to an enemy behind his target. He has the second longest attack range. He gains bonus armor penetration compared to the others and upon landing 3 successful blows he shall shatter their armor decreasing it for a short time. Passively increases armor pen for entire party. Attacking a bleeding enemy increases crit chance against them.
E-Zion: Second highest attack speed and lowest armor rating. While active the entire party moves faster, and upon switching into or out of Zion all slows are removed. Each attack increases in speed and ferocity. The first attack at normal speed and one arrow. Second attack is two arrows and comes out faster than the first, one arrow for target and another close to target. Third attack is three arrows, one for target and one for two other enemies close to target. This is short much faster than the second attack and twice as fast as the first. Upon the forth attack Zion shoots an arrow 2.5x faster than the very first arrow shot that then hails a multitude of arrows in a small area around target damaging them and all in the radius. Passively increases entire parties movement speed. Attacking an enemy with shattered armor will stun them for a short duration.
R-Kai: Highest Attack Rating and slowest attacker. Second highest armor rating. Kai's attacks pack a more powerful punch than any other characters and rip into an opponent. Each basic attack heals for a percentage. Each basic attack deals a very small amount of true damage (think slightly worse than Yi). While out of combat health is regened quickly. Passively increases entire parties health regen. Attacking someone who is bleeding with Kai doubles his lifesteal and increases his attack speed against that target.
Unslotted-Yorn: Yorn is who you start with and who you revert to upon double activation of a character. Second highest attack. Third in attack speed. Highest Defense. Yorn is your typical knight. While active each incoming attack that damages him increases his defense towards it by a small amount up to a max. Passively he grants the entire party bonus armor. Basic attacks against hampered opponents (Bleed, stun, slows, snares) increases his damage against them.
Yorn is unique in that he has no rank so everything he has scales from his level. The passive armor to the entire party is a very small amount per level due to not having a rank. Same with his own passive.
This was Valor Company, the Fluid Unit. I hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think and I will completely flesh them out. Thank you!
