Trailer: A peaceful fishing village is having a normal day, men carry crates of fish to market while women try to catch laughing children as they run along underfoot. One woman finally catches her child and lifts him into her arms as she turns to look at the ocean and the sun shining overhead. Her smile fades as the sun begins to grow dark and the ground trembles. A shadow falls over the village as a massive spaceship begins emerging from a hole torn in the sky. A grave voice echoes across the landscape as the villagers begin to run in fear. We are here. Lasers begin firing from cannons on the ship, vaporizing houses and leaving massive craters from the explosions. We are searching. The woman and her child hunker down underneath a collapsed merchant stall as people continue running by. Flames and smoke obscure them before the scene cuts to the aftermath of the attack. The village is in ruin and only the woman and child remain. She crawls slowly out from under her shelter as she sees nothing but flaming debris and smoke in a narrow area. The child bawls as a shadow appears in the smoke behind the woman, a pair of red eyes shining to make themselves clear. She spins around as the form strides free of the smoke. We've found you. The form is humanoid but has a long white tail poking out the back of it's black-armored body. The armor is dark and has spikes protruding from the shoulders and forearms. A pair of horns protrudes from its helmet, when they're armor or natural isn't clear. The form holds out a hand towards the woman and child. We want the child. The woman trembles and takes a step backwards, as she does so, a necklace slips into view on from the child's neck. It looks like nothing ever seen before- like a star had been trapped in a marble. A man suddenly emerges from the smoke- charging the alien being with a hatchet. The alien turns and catches the blow with one hand- the other punches the human- sending the man flying through the air with a loud CRACK. A small machine emerges from a compartment in the alien's chest, flying towards the man and digging deep into his arm with a long needle, the man screams as the machine flies back to its compartment; shortly thereafter a flaming roof falls on him. The alien turns to find the woman has vanished. We are hunting you. The woman runs, a BEEOOP sound is heard as a crimson blast strikes her in the hip, a red trail of glowing energy is left behind her as she continues to run- a shadow moving through the smoke in pursuit. We are wounding you. The woman staggers and falls briefly before standing and running again, staggering from her injury. A red glow appears around her and the woman is lifted into the air as she continues running in place, trying to keep going. The red light vanishes as the shadow reaches her and a long white tail wraps around her throat, snatching her from the air as the alien being from before turns her to stare into his eyes. For the first time a clear look can be gained of the being's face. The flesh is pale and white, with a pair of red markings beneath either eye- which also shine with red energy. The face is surrounded by dark armor and a metal plate with slits over the mouth. The words are dark and heavy, but they can be understood, as well as the menace behind them. Give us the child. The woman struggles but she is no match for the strength of the alien, who reaches out and pries the bundle from her arms. He casts the woman aside as he opens the bundle to discover- fish. He glances over to see the woman with a blue glowing circle around her, the child in her arms once more, she had swapped the child with the fish within the blanket earlier. Before he can reach her- the lights flash and she vanishes- along with the child. The alien looks up and ascends towards his ship- a hole in the sky forming above it. As he clears the smoke, the alien sees another town off in the distance. He flies into his ship as the dark leviathan turns towards this new target, he voice echoing out before he disappears inside a circular door in the bottom of the vessel. We are here. We will search. We will find you.
Name He has been dubbed Whirlgok by the denizens of Runeterra after the unique sound the warphole his ship uses makes. Whirrrrrrlgock The full title would be Whirlgok - The Hunter from the Stars
Background Log Entry - OC25X2016R The signal of the enemy/alien/alias/other child has been tracked to a remote planet. The natural inhabitants are technologically inferior to us and will pose little threat in hiding the child or preventing us from reaching/capturing/controlling it.
Log Entry - NC6X2016R The clan has been commanded/ordered/directed to head to the child's location. The destination lies far away but the clan will travel together to reach it. The child must be found.
Log Entry - NC7X2016R A massive energy/star/signature appeared and attacked the clan as it was in travel. The command/direction/order was given to create a warphole to the coordinates of the child. We are the only one to emerge from the other side. The signal/contact/response from the rest of the clan was lost- we are alone.
Log Entry - NC10X2016 The planet we have journeyed to is weak, they have no space-faring vessels and most of the inhabitants are incapable of effective combat routines. We made contact with the child but it was removed/taken/hidden from us before we could reach/control/capture it.
Log Entry - NC13X2016 We are quiet/silent/alone. We are without the clan. We are without the brothers and sisters. We are without home. The purpose of the quest is still the child- but it is difficult/hard/meaningless. Meaningless. What is this word? It is alien, what does it mean? I don't understand.
Log Entry - NC31X2016 I am alone. I am without the clan, without my family/fledglings/elders, without my home. I cannot find the child. I cannot leave. I cannot succeed. I can do nothing- nothing but fight. It is meaningless.
Log Entry - NV21X2016 These Terrans... it's harder to fight them now. My life cycle is drawing to a close and I cannot reclaim the child... The Terrans have a concept I've learned about, they call it, "Fate". It is the future of a being- that cannot be deviated from. Is this my fate? Alone, isolated, abandoned, there is nothing left for me- nothing but hunting and battle.

Abilities Innate: Orbital Strike Whenever Whirlgok deals damage to an enemy champion- he inflicts a "tracking" debuff on them. The debuff will expire after 3 seconds of not taking damage. After a certain number (6) of "tracking" debuffs are accumulated the enemy champion will be "tagged"- Whirlgok's ship will begin firing from above at the enemy champion every few (3) seconds after a (1 second) delay with a marker designating where it will strike. Hitting enemies will deal (AP scaling) magic damage. The "tagged" debuff will persist for several (9/12/15) seconds based on Whirlgok's level. The debuff can not be applied to the same enemy champion again for a fairly long duration (30 seconds) after the "Tagged" debuff expires, but can be applied to multiple champions at the same time. Two enemy champions clustered closely together will cause only one Orbital Strike to target them.
_Q: Tracker Bullet _ Whirlgok fires a bolt of energy from his wrist- striking an enemy deals (AD scaling) physical damage and reveals them for a brief duration. If an enemy champion is currently fully "tagged" this ability will cause another orbital strike to begin immediately (complete with delay).
W: Harvest Seeker Whirlgok releases a small minion that will fly towards the targeted enemy and bite them, stealing a bit of health (AD scaling) and bringing it back to Whirlgok. The minion can be destroyed and harmed similar to Zyra's plants. If the minion is harmed but not destroyed, it will return only a portion of the stolen health relative to how much health it still has. If an enemy champion is fully "tagged", this ability will give Whirlgok a movement speed buff when heading towards the tagged champion if the minion bites them- this buff will be doubled if the Hunter Seeker makes it back to Whirlgok.
E: Terrestrial Tail Whirlgok slaps his tail forwards in a conical AoE, dealing (AD scaling) physical damage to struck units and slowing them. If the enemy is fully "tagged" when he uses this ability, it will stun the first struck champion and deal additional physical damage based on their missing health.
R: Gravity Flux Whirlgok is briefly rooted as he signals his ship to alter gravity in the selected area- dealing (AP scaling) magic damage and slowing enemies in the area. After a delay (1.5 seconds) all enemies still in the area will be suspended for 1/1.5/2 seconds and take (AP scaling) magic damage again.
Tips/Builds Tips Whirlgok doesn't scale with any tank stats, so he has to rely on picking his battles carefully and striking when the moment is right when building damage, or else he must build tank items to help make a fight last longer. Whirlgok's innate is difficult to make use of without engaging the enemy at the same time. Without worrying about Whirlgok or anyone else, dodging the telegraphed strikes is not meant to be difficult. Whirlgok's Tracker is his most reliable method of delivering "tagged" stacks but also functions as a potent way to increase the possible damage from it. Choosing where and how to use it is vital. Whirlgok's Harvest Seeker can be used both from far away to try to heal from a distance or from up-close to get an emergency heal in a heated battle. Whirlgok's Tail is a potent method of slowing an enemy, but when they're fully tagged it is even more valuable as he can restrain an opponent and hold them in place for a blast. Whirlgok's Gravity Flux covers a fairly wide area and has decent range- managing to grab multiple enemies with this ability can spell disaster for the enemy team.
Builds It's beneficial for Whirlgok to build items that amplify his movements like Triforce, Youmuu's Ghostblade, Phantom Dancer, or Black Cleaver- as he's a melee fighter and otherwise has only a very conditional mobility method. Considering his innate interaction, building items that will damage multiple champions at once like Ravenous Hydra, Titanic Hydra, Runic Echoes, or even Statik Shiv have a possibility of being very useful in combat. Building items that slow enemies will also benefit Whirlgok, such as Blade of the Ruined King, Frozen Mallet, Hextech Gunblade, and Iceborn Gauntlet. Rylai's can also be beneficial due to his Hunter Seeker, Gravity Flux, and Orbital Strike all being magic damage. Considering his hybrid scalings, Whirlgok would benefit from both AP and AD itemization. Building more AP will cause his innate and ultimate to hit harder while building more AD will benefit his normal abilities.

Interactions with other champions (Whenever his Q reveals a hidden champion) "I see you."
(When encountering a void creature) "You are from another world as well... but you are no ally to me!"
(Against Jax) "You... you are capable of combat routines."
(Against Malphite) "A Monolith-being? Here?"
(Against Kha'Zhix, Rengar, and Kindred) "The hunter or the hunted?"
(When near an allied Soraka) "A child of the stars?"
(When encountering a hostile Aurelion Sol) "This energy... you are the one..." -Like Sejuani/Ashe/Lissandra, Whirlgok will gain a personal quest to destroy Aurelion Sol if he's on the enemy team. Killing him after the quest begins will give Whirlgok an "Avenged" status.
Trivia Whirlgok's clan was destroyed by Aurelion Sol while they were traveling. The clan is not the entirety of his race, but it was all of his relations for the equivalent of 7 generations. He actually doesn't know why he is hunting the child, and now he has nobody left to ask. Typically Whirlgok's race are constantly communicating and physically interacting with one another every moment of every day- rarely alone except for interstellar travel and even then they remain in unceasing technological contact. In the face of his never-before-encountered solitude, Whirlgok has begun developing a sense of "Self" that is unknown for his race. Whirlgok's race only has a life expectancy of 20 (Runeterran) years normally, Whirlgok himself has seen 19 of these years already pass. Whirlgok's ship is actually capable of blasting straight through Runeterra's core to destroy the planet, but he is unwilling to do so, the reason for this eludes even Whirlgok himself but he suspects it is this new "self" he is growing. Whirlgok was originally designed to resemble Mantis from the PS1 game, "Unholy War" in both appearance and function. His ultimate and W still retain their origin as similar abilities to Mantis' own while the rest of his concept has moved on.
