Carry over LP after a series

I know we've all been frustrated with winning a game at 95LP, going into a series, and having to win 2/3 of your next games, and then starting at 0LP. that 5LP you played for to get into series feels wasted, and often times can tilt you in your series, and if you lose your series by 1 game you feel like you've been robbed of your promotion due to playing for such a small amount of LP. What if you got 24 LP at 95LP, if you won your series you would start with 19LP instead of 0. If you lost your series, the extra LP would be lost, and only the players that deserve it are rewarded.

This is one of the biggest problems I've encountered and heard about from friends when playing ranked, and it's ALSO one of the few that Riot can actually do something about.

ALSO: I want to clarify before I get any comments about how "if you keep playing the better player climbs anyways so who cares" that I totally understand AND agree, that the better players shouldn't have to worry about playing for a small amount of LP, they WILL climb if they deserve to, and I believe that anyone who thinks otherwise has a bad mindset. You WILL climb if you are better than your elo, but this just makes the journey less tilting and easier to approach.

Thanks for any feedback or even considering what I've said rather than just commenting on how dumb the idea is.

I mean, it's really not that big of a deal. In fact, it makes a lot of sense to start back at 0. You've proven that you deserve to be the next rating up, now you need to prove that you deserve your LP in that rating.

Also, from a gameplay perspective, it's also really good. When you first get up a rating, it makes it so that losses don't drop your MMR by anywhere near to as much as it would if you were ordinarily just at 0 LP until you get up and fall back down. If you carried it over, you would have no way to measure of if you losing a game should demote you or not. As such, you wouldn't get the MMR safe zone when you first go up a rating, which means that we may as well go back to the ELO system, where any win you had could put you up a rating and any loss you had could put you down a rating if you were near the edge. No promo series, no having to lose a couple times at 0 LP, just climbing ELO. If you won a game at bronze 1, 1190 ELO and gained at least 10 ELO, now you're in silver 5, let's say 1205 ELO. Now, one loss will drop you back down to bronze 1.
