Autofill in Normal draft (and the possible removal of the queue)
Have you ever queued up for a normal game, just looking to have fun, on a specific champion or role? Have you ever wanted to try a different role, or a different champion, in a normal game so you don't feed in ranked? What if when you tried to play a different champion in said normal game, but you got auto filled to play support? Should you dodge to avoid wasting your time ( no it's not a bad thing to not enjoy support), or should you play it out and try to have fun with the role? Auto fill shouldn't be implemented in the normal draft queue, because it wastes time for people who just want to play a specific champion or role, and it is genuinely unfun to be put into a role you don't want to play, to fix queue times that aren't even an issue in normal draft queue.
The past few days I've been wanting to learn Katarina in the mid lane before bringing her into Ranked queue (and ruining games) so that I can get a feel for how to properly play the champion in different matchups. I've gotten auto filled five times in the last two days, and the first time I tried playing Zyra support, to see if I would enjoy the role if I was on a more damage oriented champion. I honestly didn't have enough fun to satisfy myself, and now dodge everytime I'm auto filled into support. Trying to learn a new champion, but having to dodge, and get these long dodge penalties because I'd rather not play than play a specific role, is something I can't stand nowadays. I don't have the time to play all day due to school and whenever my time gets wasted and I'm not able to practice the champion and/or role that I'm not yet used to, it ruins my want to play the game.
Not everyone enjoys all of the roles in League of Legends, specifically support. Luckily, the amount of players that play normal draft means that queue times aren't very long, and one can get into a game pretty quickly. Riot has implemented a feature (into the higher elos of ranked) into normal draft to shorten queue times that aren't long to being with, and the longest queue times that I've encountered in normal games range from 10-15 minutes when I queue for the top priority roles (which is long yes, but I'd rather wait 10-15, even 20 minutes than get auto filled into support, play the game out and not enjoy it, or dodge and get a dodge penalty).
While I understand the reasoning for auto fill (in the elo and queues that actually need it) I believe that it's entirely unnecessary to have active in normal draft queues. The queue is mainly there for players trying to learn a new champion and/or role, or for players to have fun without the stress of ranked. While some players find support to be a fun role, and it can be on the right champions, not everyone will have fun if they are given support, and the defeats the purpose of normal draft.
PS. Normal draft is infinitely better than Normal blind, and if Normal draft actually gets removed from the game across all regions, then myself, and many other Normal draft players will be forced to fight over roles and champions in a chaotic champion select, and play against the champions that makes the game unfun, just because they choose to not play ranked.
Please, don't remove Normal draft, and revert the implementation of auto fill in Normal draft
