Lore Family traditions are generally always followed by every member of a household. Benedict believed strongly in his family's traditions, but he had a certain one in mind that took his heart over the others. He and his family believed that when you die, your spirit must linger until you provide your spiritual blessing onto your descendants, before you can move onto the afterlife. While everyone was a strong believer in this tradition, no one would ever be able to know if the "Afterlife" actually existed and live to tell. With this being said, Benedict lived from a child to an old man. And he died within his old home in his old room. Benedict had no descendants, and had no one to bless. Refusing to give up and ruin his family's ancient traditions, his spirit now wanders Runeterra to find a living being worthy of his spiritual blessing... At least until he runs out of time.
