Champion concept: Cryon, Patron of the Northern Wind

Basic concept: A fragile long range support with exceptional zoning abilities; relies heavily on his teammates to achieve his full potential.

Abilities:

Passive – Frozen remnant Passive 1: A frozen remnant is suspended above Cryon. This remnant grants vision and can be auto-attacked by allies, causing the remnant to fire an auto attack towards the closest enemy champion within 500 range of the remnant, dealing same amount of physical damage as the original attack and applying slow. Remnant's autoattacks don't proc on hit effects and cannot crit; however, crits make the remnant's attacks apply increased slow. The remnant can be repositioned by Cryon's abilities and blinks back if he moves out of leash range. Passive 2: Cryon's auto attacks slow their target.

Q – Looming flurry (very short cooldown if any) Cryon slowly movess his remnant to target area. The remnant cannot be targeted while moving. If Cryon targets himself, the remnant returns to its original position (above Cryon's head, duh).

W – Gelid guard (medium cooldown) Cryon shields target ally with ice. If the shield gets destroyed, it explodes, dealing damage to all enemies around the ally, slowing them and reducing their attack speed.

E – Icy binding (medium cooldown) Cryon binds his remnant to a target enemy within its range, dealing magic damage over time. If the enemy attempts to break the leash by leaving the area, it recieves magic damage and gets stunned. Except for hovering above Cryon, repositioning the remnant causes the binding to dissipate.

R – Blizzard (very long cooldown) A snowstorm breaks out around Cryon's remnant, slowing all enemies in the area and making the remnant's auto attacks apply a stacking debuff to all enemies each time it is hit by an ally. Once the debuff reaches five stacks, the affected enemies recieve magic damage and are stunned.

Strategy: Support Supporting his marksman, Cryon can be a terrifying enemy in lane, despite being as delicate as an icicle. By repositioning his remnant with his Q, Cryon can create zones of control that can quickly turn into deathtraps with the help of his E. Even without it, ranged allies can use the remnant mainly to extend their hand by up to 5 Teemos, while melee champions (say ganking junglers) can proc the remnant to slow any enemies thinking about escape. His W can be used two ways: either as a standard peel for your ally, or as a suprise aid for your initiator by making him a less desirable target in close range. It gets especially useful for ganking allies that like to dive deep for their prey. Cryon's remnant is a versatile tool for any situation, be it roaming, pushing or teamfighting. Its vision range makes risking facechecking brushes pointless and turns them into no man's Cryon's (frozen) land. During sieges, it allows allies to poke at enemies staged behind their turrets. However, the remnant turns into a threat of its own in teamfights, where it can make enemies avoid encroaching cold at all cost.

Synergies While having Cryon assist a long range marksman might sound like an overkill, it can actually turn a scary laner into a complete monster. Low mobility - high range marks(wo)men like Ashe (note: her passive makes the remnant apply her own slow, but empowered) or Varus can turn into potent glass cannons under Cryon's watchful eye. When it comes to teamfights, any champion with high auto attack speed is welcome to apply stacks during Blizzard. Counters Zoning is pointless if the enemy can harm you regardless of it, making long range champions a prime enemy to Cryon. Since he lacks any reliable recovery, Cryon can be slowly poked down from safety before being decimated in few shots. Strong engage compositions are also problematic, since they can steamroll through Cryon's areas of control without having to drag through them.

Story concept: Cryon might seem like a juvenile snowflake, but he is the ancient embodiment of the Northern Wind. Mischievous, he stirs up trouble wherever he soars. While he might seem brisk and playful at first glance, his icy remnant hides painful secrets from times long gone by. Ages ago, he was a free-footed spirit without physical form to bear. However, his essence was captured by poweful magical beings and bound to a relic. After being used as a weapon in ensuing conflicts, he eventually liberated himself when his captors lost the war, along with their power. With his old enemies rising to power once more, he won't let himself being controlled again.

Final note: Since this is a pure concept, I omitted all numbers and stats, since they would be changed around during balancing. I hope you will enjoy my concept. Feel free to comment. :P
