Champion Concept: Kapy - The Soul Bound.

Kapy's Lore.

Class : Assassin.

Friends : Ahri Katarina Talon Cassiopeia (Marcus Du Couteau)

Rivals : Garen (Flame's brother) Viktor

Abilities :

Passive :

Shared soul

If there's a Katarina in enemy or ally team, both Kapy and Katarina gain a perma. buff called "soul bound". Soul Bound shares the damage between the two, no matter if same team or not. When within 1500 range of each other Soul Bound becomes level 2 and both gain 25% increased AP/AD/Movement speed. (if in blind pick and theres' 2 katarina's both get shared damage from Kapy and both deal shared damage to him.) IF any member of the Du Couteau family is in the match (talon, cassiopea, katarina), they gain "loyal to the clan", buff. Not matter if teammate or enemy, both Kapy and the Du Couteau member withing 1000 range gain a boost to their AD/AP/Movement speed for 10% seconds. If none of the Du Couteau clan is present Kapy, gains "Solo survivor" buff, which gives him the ability to use blood magic every 5th hit. The hit becomes ranged and deals bonus magic damage 10-50 + (0.25% AP ration)

Q

Blood magic.

If Kapy takes damage, he bleed and part of he blood drops on everyone who attacked him. While a target is blood marked, Kapy throws (after clicking Q) blood soaked blades that automatically find their target withing 1000 range, dealing 75-250 + (0.10 AD ration and 0.15 AP ration) . CD 15-10 seconds cooldown.

W

Unmastered shunpo.

After the short period of time, training with Katarina. Kapy hasnt managed to master the shunpo style. But the basics are still there. On activation Kapy dodges incoming damage for 3 seconds, while casting automatically very small distance shunpo dodges. He is unable to hit during this period but he gains 10-50% movement speed and his next attack deals bonus 10-50 (+0.40 AP) true damage. CD 11-6 seconds

E

Dirty Fighter.

Kapy throws dirt at his enemies eyes. Making them blind for 2-4 seconds and dealing 10-50 + (0.10 AD ration and 0.15 AP ration) magical damage. CD 10-5 seconds

R

Blood of Confusion.

Kapy channels for 1.5 seconds after which he throws blood at his foes. He becomes instantly invisible. Everyone affected by the blood will see him or Katarina appearing around them on different locations. The chance for the original Kapy to appear is 1 out of 5 (level 1) 8 (level 2) never (level 3). After the effect ends, all infected targets take massive damage 250-750 + (0.25 AD ration and 0.40 AP ration). Targets are unable to drop under 10% HP, if already at 10% they get deep wounds, disabling healing effects on them for 15 seconds. All infected take 10% increased damage by ALL sources.

CD - 130/90/55

No art. As I cant draw and my friends don't want to draw for me. I don't hope for this to be an actual champion, just sharing the kit idea. The numbers aren't a must, they can be tweaked. The champion is melee with a weird play style. I MAY make concept for other of my unique chars in my fanfiction in the future. Enjoy.

Hey!

I like where this character is going, especially the ult which is really well designed for an assassin if I understand it. I think another assassin being added to the Noxian Du Coutaeu team is a bit much, but as you said you didn't plan for this to be an actual champion, so I won't judge that part.

So it seems like Kapy's theme is sort of like "blood brother" assassin. Deep family ties it seems. I would add a visual description, although maybe thats in the lore idk.

So I'll start with the ult. I like this alot, because its a solid delayed ability which gives the enemy some time to react. I'm thinking theres a small delay before he casts out the blood, maybe he sort of lunges back, throws the blood, and stands back up again? Well anyways, I like the fact that it can't kill them itself, as Kapy needs to stay there to kill them. It forces his playstyle to not be an insta delete playstyle. I would just give the ability grievous wounds anyways, its a little complicated how it currently is. Although if their below 10% health their probably going to die anyway.

The E is cool, I like blinds on assassins. I think it could use a better name and description, especially if it had a cool animation. Not the most interesting or unique ability, but it helps as we lack blinds in the game currently.

The W sounds badass, although the untargetability for 3 seconds, PLUS minor dashes, PLUS increased movement speed definitely needs tuning. I can imagine the ability very visually and it fits the theme of a mobile, light fighter. However I find it absolutely necessary you change the name of the ability. The name boils down to "weaker version of another champion's ability". I would call it something like "Personalized Shunpo" or "Guard-Shunpo Stance".

The Q isn't all that unique or interesting. I would rework this ability. Not only does the passive make very little sense on an assassin, it comes down to being a thornmail effect, but the Q is just "dagger throw". I would change the Q into something that confirms his theme as a blood based, soul bound, magic using, assassin.

The passive is the primary weakness of Kapy. It doesn't create gameplay tactics. It doesn't offer thoughtful decisions. Its a lore based passive that is usually will not have any tactics in it. A champion should synergize with another champion because of their kit. Not because of their lore. This isn't rock-paper-scissors, a champions are strong together because of their kits not who they are in lore. I would rework this ability so its not so lore dependent. It makes Kapy too hard to balance and predict. And it doesn't fit an assassin so much, as they usually work alone.

I like it overall. I just think this is tying lore way too closely into champion ability. There's only 3 Du Coteaus, so giving him a special buff based on those 3 champs seems strange. Especially strange that his passive can buff enemies in a ridiculously huge range. I like the rest of his kit though, especially the fakeout ulti.
