Lore based, skin concept (Noxian side, with lot more than 1 idea)

Out of topic: I know I had posted it in misc. but then a Riot support member told me to post it here instead, so I deleted the old one and posted it, please no hate for resposting. And no hate on the idea, took me exactly 5 mins to make it up and I'll just copy paste it from the support ticket, because I feel too lazy to write it. I cant provide any "drawins" or "animations" of the idea itself, because A) I got no gear to do it B) I'm horrible at drawing.

On topic "IDK... make one skin that can be lore wise and same time, idk... unlocks an event patern and same time unlocks you the ability for a minimum of 3 more skins?

I mean like seriously, okay... You kill Katarina with this Project skin... And where's the potential in it? Kills her lore in 1 stroke, kills her designe, kills everything and locks you at that one skin for 1350 RP? Worth?

Noxus is a land, filled with magic, poisons, curses and stuff like that (WW is a pure example)...

Instead of making a "Project" waste my brain skin... Why not... Make a lore based one? I'll just give a pure example.

"The Du Couteau family forms an official party/metting at the DU Couteau mantion. Swain (Grand General swain skin 1350 RP), dressed in his full body plate, general armor with all the noxian symbols on them with his Raven dressed in a mini light variant of his general armor and his sorcerress (official or queen (as it was offered in the comments) LeBlank 975 RP)) dressed in a revealing (lets say) black dress and a beautiful sapphire gem glowing from her staff, as main guests, welcomed at the door by Talon (Official Talon 975RP), who was dressed in a black tuxido, with decorated in silver and gold sholder plates and his symbolic black hood (in black as the tuxido), to meet his younger "siter" Cassiopea, (Elegant curse Cassiopea 1350RP), who'ms tail was overed in a leather covering with different sorts of gems and silver/gold linears going onto it, her torse with a mini-turkish-blue dress, with all sorts of Du Coutea symbols on it, with her "crown" removed and finally able to see her actual hair.

(skiping a bit the story and jumping to the main idea)

Swain and LeBlank, plotting to remove Katarina as she is the new head of the Du Couteau family, thinking that Cassiopea will be easier to persuade to join them.

(skiping a bit fowards again)

LeBlank, passes by Katarina while she's distracted, a puts a small poison in her glass of wine. After which Katarina drinks from the wine... And falls to the ground... Finding out she was poisoned with a curse...

(Here's the main skin idea)

Then she rises up, unknown where she is... Shunpoes towards the window, breaks out... Runs into the moonlight... Her emerald eyes, start to glow bright green, filled with hate and death.

Cursed Katarina (Ultimate skin 3250 RP)

Main char appearnce : Katarina's default armor is replaced with a beautiful elegant black dress, her "swords" are black steel swords with black shadow comming out of them, her hair pitch black with black fog comming out, her eyes glow emerald green, her skin turned pale. Her idle animation is replaced with a floating one where she holds her swords aimed towards the ground. Her Q Animation replaced, instead of throwing she summones them from behind her and shoots them towards the enemy (the swords are replaced with black daggers with a small black fog), her W animation replaced with her pointing at the ground with 1 hand and summoning daggers from the ground. Her Shunpo makes a black fog that stays for 1-2 seconds after use (at old and new location), her ult is her laugh sound with a darker/ghostly pich, both her hands pointing the ground and summoning a blade storm (works as normal duuh). Her basic attacks are her hitting with the swords in meele range, duuh... All her taunts, dance, recall change. Added ghostly/darker pitch t oher voice in all of them.

Ultimate effect ,every 6 levels the fog affect increases and makes her look more shadowy... (Nearly no fog at level 1, nearly full mystress of the darkness fog at level 18)

When attacked, black fog particales ect.

Talon (curse hunter 1350 RP) in brown/crimsonish leather armor set, cover faced. (new taunt animations/skill animations), together with cassiopea (curse hunter 975RP), with her hair still visable and almost same armor set as Talon, search for a cure for this curse.

(Add going to Ionia story here)

-Add Ionian champ who will give the cure with a random cheap skin idea here-

(add story here)

As they returned, seen the terrorising the cursed Katarina has done on most noxian villages, they rush to give her the cure

Katarina gets cured (Cured Katarina 975 RP)

Gets the cursed dress, cursed swords/daggers, default animations.

How something so simple gives you ~ 8 skins, from which 1 ultimate. Can be lore-a-fide easily... Easily added as a halloween update and the skins to just appear every week or something like that, while you do quests in a gloomy looking summoner rift or something like that...

And at the end we get a "project" skin, which has 0 idea, potential or story behind it...

while In the way I told it, you can literally add 5 more champs minimum, with new skins for low and high prices... So you get an Ultimate skin, few legendaries, few expensive, few normal, few cheap... And a whole event period. Plus "Lore/story"...

Eh whatever... Im just "A" stupid Kata "main" that just whines whole day..."

Off-Topic again: If there's any interest by any devoloper which I doubt, I could spent a day filling the "story" wholes I left and probly add more ideas there of other champion skins...

And proof for haters that would say i lied that I asked support for it

Edit: Forgot that Ultimate skins got a banner and an icon with them, so as an icon it could easily a dark face shaped as katas, with a scar ofc and the eyes with a bright emerald green. While the banner would be a black fog around the boarder or w.e. (not sure if animated effects are possible there ^^)

Tyrant Swain already exist although Leblanc could use a Queen skin

Cursed Katarina and Talon - I see no potential

This should focus on the Du Couteau family trying to reclaim the throne.

My idea is a small story which can be easily be added to the lore, I didnt mean a huge story which would be under the main plot or something. Because the main plot of the lore is dead ages ago... If given time and the oportunity I can write you small and huge plot stories towards the lore no problems. Yet I gave suggestions for a lot more than just cursed Katarina ^^ And why no potential for talon? He has low amount of skins and a lot of mains cry for them :s

Oh and the idea of Swain isnt the same as Tyrant, I ment a totally different model ^^ More armored, more Noxian, more fabulious, but I guess you're right. The darker theamed skins got no potention, these days everyone asks for flashy and ugly things. Like the project skin Y_Y

Douh if you make the story whole and not the small parts I'm adde,d there's pretty nice potentional for all of the skins and plus more skins to be made around this. Just saying and even a brand new champion introduction, a second healer for example? :p

And yet the idea is halloween based, which can easily include an event on the rift (like last years GF/TF/Graves)

As i was reading through it my stomach got more and more butterflies, my mind created pictures and for some reason it felt real. For an brainstorm, this idea completely destroyed the whole riot company. This should either be a whole new game or a movie.
Riot better pay attention to this if not then rip a billion dollar idea. I hope you do more of these, they are absolute AMAZING to read. Everything about it is Bonita :D

I still repeat that my idea looks different, but lets say I agree, why is everyone so into this swain skin ?XD

edit: rechecked the tyrant skin, my idea was without a helmet and the body plate armor to be completly diffrent and without the feathers and the bird itself to have its own unique design, with new battle particles ^^ Just saying

I don't understand, which wont fit. I mean it's just an example story made while writting, it has huge pieces missing, but if I have to write in the boards the whole thing. It will be hard for people to read, thus it will be as a book. And it fits as a mid story in the lore, you know like a TV show how some times it has mid stories few episodes that got nothing to do with the main plot over-all. o.o and if you ment the curses, the forest near Noxus is filled with humans cursed one way or an other (WW pure example as I stated)

And true, most belive noxus is a barbaric country where everyon e kills everyone for sport, but in truth their villages are just normal villages with normal farmers, fishermen and other kind of workers, not warriors or murderers, so it fits to make chaos on the noxian countyside this way... Just in my opinion

Sorry, I'm just a big Noxian nerd and a huge if not the biggest of them all Katarina addict ^^

edit: you cant denie it would make for a fun halloween event

I wish Riot didn't paint Noxus and Demacia so blakc and white. These guys are "good" and their "bad". It could be so much more interesting if they made them have different ethnic values, rather then wrong and right ethnic values.

To be honest, if you give it a tough and imagine all of it. Noxus isnt actually, bad... But Demacian the other hand is more or less a corrupt empire which symbolises politics our days, just in a medivia style. THey keep everything looking pretty and stuff, but same time they do their corrupt schemes all the time.

Pretty much same time in Noxus. they are more like, idk? Half viking half civilization mix in one, they all fight for strengh and honor and same time they live as normal people, dont go full rapmage destruction mode, with an exception the as you call him "Tyrant" swain and his sorcerres decivier LB, who take the Grand General mantle, by force and cheating.

So actually there isnt good or evil, there's just 2 countries who are at war, one playing dirty and falsly accusing the other ,which makes it look evil and everyone turns againts them, whiel the otherone is trying to handle the corrupt Grand general who took the mantle. That's why if you read the whole lore, the villan, Katarina and Talon... actually come out as the heroes, trying to free Noxus of it's tyrany. Katarina constantly trying to find new allies within countries they are not welcome, because either swains tyrany or drunken soldiers did some grave action which cannot be undone. Or because the Demacian leadership did a mass slaughtering and blamed it on Noxus and hide from everyone that they actually did it.

Long story short. You just need to go deep in the lore and try to live in it and understand it, to see that it's not good or evil, it's just a normal world. Bit different than ours, but very very similar the same way

Edit: my point is, the lore is perfect if you got someone crazy as me, who sees it in a different way than it's shown on the sufferce to work on it.

The lore would be sooooo much cooler if Riot painted their world like this. Black and White isn't as interesting as mixes of grey.

Are you talking about in the League lore or your own lore?

I don't think Swain cheated his way up the ladder. In his fight with Darkwill he did something strange (I forgot what it was) so its possible. LB was part of the Black Rose so it makes sense she has manipulative power. Unless your talking about your lore.

Anyways, I agree and hope Riot turns away from cleche good and bad guys, either giving it a twist or making it, as you said, just two countries fighting with different ethnic values.

its Riot's lore out of the box, Im sure they never tough of what they actually made or have here. Someone like me can make amazing stuff with their bases. Well I mean if you like my 5 mins idea, imagine what I can do with a staff of designers and stuff and a whole month :D or 2 ? Or an year. :p But the problem is I need people who can see what i mean and support me a little, to show Riot that we need a small turn of events in the lore... I mean quit it with the noxus always lossing stuff cuz bad guys, right? And yet nobody likes my idea, even if it stood at top 1 to 4 threads in this section for 2 days :/

i LOVE THIS IDEA, i have never seen something so cool like skins that come from a lore like this one, the "cured" katarina skin, is the best of the ideas there, u found a way to make great skins idea, a story and a cinematic vid, without milking champions or just creating skin for one and making skins for all champs of the same types (like battlecast, and project/program) and i cant believe people flamed you for maining kata lmao. a champ is a champ and people main who they want however they want. hope u get hired by them and paid for this ideaS (there is more than one single idea here) but could u make another lore telling us how lb got to the state of queen? and about how the others got were they are rigth now? (i dont know if this is milking but i would really like to know their background stories).

I don't mind , but it's already there. Swain allied with LB. She helped him kill/make disappear, Katarina's father. Swain became grand general by cheating at his duel with the current Grand general and so taking the mantle. And my original intend was that LB is his high sorcerres, but people constantly nagged that "Queen LB" would be awesome as a name/idea to the skin, so that's why I added the "queen" part in the discription. Thanks for the positive feedback :} Much appriciated (p.s the project progam doesnt actually have any lore behind it unlike the battlecast)

Naturally i see the lack of interest, but in the next few days I'll try to find someone who can draw better than my horribly skills and try to provide a vusial appearnce of the idea itself, if I dont find anyone, guess i'll have to do something i promosed myself to never do and drawn >< . Cool idea. I will concede that Demacia isn't all good and Noxus isn't all evil, but their leaders definitely paint a picture of the lands as a whole.

I personally believe corruption in Demacia is impossible, at least in the royal palace. Out on the outskirts or in villages I have no doubt that there is evil. ( After all Vayne has a job) But Jarvan, Garen, Lux, and the like definitely act like the good guys.

I will also concede that while the leaders of Noxus are evil, (Swain, LB). Others in Noxus's military (Darius, Katarina) are just following orders.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if the leaders were switched around, I would believe that Demacia is evil and Noxus is good. IDK, I like sides of good and evil so I know who to root for.

Good job on the lore. Have a free up vote.
