How summoners come into LoL Lore
note this is after the events of shurima when everything is settling down
"COME ONE COME ALL! Think you're strong enough to take a crocodile or a half-dragon? Then sign up here!" boomed the announcer's voice showing a giant pad of paper. There was contact information and a grand prize of 100k gold.
Ekko looked up at it with awe as well as others in the crowd. The announcer seemed to be attracting all sorts of people. Some shurimans, some freljordians, some of the people right here in zaun, and even some from Bilgewater. What could this be to attract people from all over the world?
He went over to someone who was at least human among all these people. A Noxian woman. "Hey. Do you know what this is?" Ekko asked. The woman looked him over once. "It's an arena, not like you'll be any use here though."
"Why would there be an arena in Zaun? It's not like there aren't others in other regions." said Ekko
"Because its not a REAL arena. Someone in Zaun invented a simulation." She looked in the direction of a house. "The inventor's in there. If you want to know more, ask him. All anyone knows is that you fight to live in a simulation but you don't die in real life. It's a good solution to a problem a lot of arena's have."
Ekko started walking shaking his head "How could violence solve anything?"
"Violence solves everything." replied the woman turning back to face the announcer.
He went up to the house and knocked. A cyborg like man opened the door. "What do you want? I am very busy at the moment."
Ekko hesitated again wondering if he should talk to a half-robot, half-man person. But he wanted to know so he asked "What is this 'simulation' you have created?" The man laughed a maniacal laugh and said "Finally! Someone wants to know my brilliance! Come come I have much to show you!" he beckoned Ekko inside.
He saw a type of platform meant to fit one person, a large square table with a holographic dome over it, and a computer.
"Yes yes very good eh? So here's what I've created. A person or being steps onto this platform, I scan all of their data, personality, skills, etc. and record it on this computer, and then the person can be used whenever, and wherever they want on this map. Since the data will be recorded, any person will be able to use any being that has stepped on the platform." He stepped over to a closet to reveal 9 other platforms. "With all my materials and technology, I was able to create 10 total platforms so 10 people can be in this arena and be fighting each other."
Ekko was just in awe. A person from his city was able to create a simulation this great. He just had one more question "What's your name?"
"Viktor." Replied the man "You see my brilliance no? Everyone was saying that I was crazy, that I was wasting my time. But here it is now! Any being able to be controlled by anyone and fought with on this map! Now I have test subjects coming in with that announcer out there." He saw the worried look on Ekko's face. "Not to worry though! If I can be used in the map, and half of me is metal, then I'm 99.9% positive that anything will be able to be used. And if the platform for some reason is not large enough, I have this!" He held up a wand with a camera and a light.
Ekko looked at it then asked "....what is it?" Viktor laughed again "My genius sometimes surprises myself! It is a scanning tool. The camera takes in everything about the being and the light scans everything the camera is seeing. Impressive no?" and he went back to tampering with some devices.
After some time, Viktor saw him looking with fascination and asked "Would YOU like to be part of the arena? No injuries will be sustained, no anything will be sustained except maybe pride. If you'd like to see myself come look." He beckoned Ekko over to the computer and was surprised to see how well it was done.
On the screen was Viktor just as he was in real life. It showed his stats and his skills. "Everything is complete or mostly. People can now enter this arena and fight each other while an audience watches if they so please! Now, boy, would you like to be in the arena?"
With a sense of pride and readiness, Ekko agreed.
I don't know if this is all valid but it was fun to write. Enjoy!
(Apparently, a story doesn't belong in Story, art, and creations? Ok then)
