League Client Idea: Invites for Patching Players

Note: I'm not sure if this is the right board for this thread. If someone could tell me if it is or isn't (and preferably move it to the correct one if it isn't), it would be much appreciated.

Now that the new client is here there are a lot of nice, small usability features when trying to play or communicate with friends. One of them is that you can log in to the game while patching, and then your friends know you're online so that they don't start a game only to miss you by a couple minutes. However, you can't accept their invites while patching.

So here's my suggestion: Let people accept invites while patching, but just disable the captain from starting the queue until they're done. Their player banner in the lobby would be greyed out until they are finished. In order to display how close they are to done patching to the rest of the players in the lobby, there could be a loading bar on/under the banner, or, preferably, just have the banner "fill in" as they load. In other words, the banner would be partially greyed out, less and less so the more they loaded the patch.

You could even let players start a lobby while patching with the same rules.

Bump, because I actually really want to see this idea happen in game. Or, if not, I want to know why it is intrinsically flawed in a way I don't see. OR, I want to know why this would be too difficult to code for how little benefit it gives.
