For URF? Against? Don't Care? Vote here! (I really want URF back more often)

I personally love URF to death, AR or regular, whenever the mode is up I play WAAAY more league than any other time. Most of the other RGMs interest me a mild amount, lose their interest quickly, or seem totally pointless/boring. From my experience, the queue times on URF (especially AR) are shorter than pretty much any other mode or queue ever, so it seems like a popular no brainer they're ignoring for no reason, but hey I'm a biased person like everyone else, so what do other people think?

Also, what form is best for URF? Should it always be AR, or should full access picks (with bans) come back at some point? Are other solutions perhaps better such as this one: Bloodmoon champ select for URF, or this one: Mostly randomized URF champ select?

I love URF, I even enjoyed AR Urf. I understand why they make it a rare occasion though.

I want Dominion to back. . . At all. (>_>)

Maybe some magma chamber too. Just for a change of pace. XD

Personally, I am very intrigued by the possibility of other minor variations on URF like AR was, especially the bloodmoon URF idea. I have a poll for which version seems best on my Semi-random URF idea thread.

As usual, there are a handful of Boards users happily repeating the same dubious claims about URF relative to other RGMs. To be really clear here: I'm talking about people who repeat Riot's comments from 2014 about the mode's alleged unpopularity and "rapid decline", neither of which has ever been demonstrated. (I made this comment because those users are sure to flock to threads like this).

URF is basically a threat to the core product because it gives the user much faster exposure to the game content (albeit without the nuance of the basic game, which is much slower). Since they refuse to address it (actually address it, not dismiss it with a weak objection), I'm forced to guess Riot's concerns with URF. I think Riot worries that users feel less inclined to play the base game after URF. It seems that the typical player needs some period of re-adjustment to the slow pace of the base game after playing URF obsessively for a weekend.

By not even talking about URF (let alone putting it on the schedule), they've managed to quash a lot of the clamour that comes after an URF weekend. People inevitably want it back soon after it's disabled.

Other threads addressing URF today:

  1. when is urf?

  2. Re "Poro King Again"

  3. URF as replying to the ask riot thread

  4. Did riot accidently delete "urf files"...

  5. Urf

I do think URF should be incredibly rare. A game mode isn't as fun when it comes around every month.

I love urf but I don't want it to appear as frequently as poro king because it takes the novelty away
