mana stealing? -- yes, I like that idea. gold stealing? -- that causes a lot of problems with game balance and clarity. I've played a WC3 mod with a champion like that; it felt unrewarding to the thief and extremely irritating to the target.

mana stealing? -- This would work a lot like a silence effect. would the ability do anything to manaless champions?

gold stealing? -- So, would this be an active or a passive ability? I've got 3 ideas for it right now:

  1. Banditry (like the utility mastery) - every basic attack [Champion Name] lands on an enemy champion steals 3 gold. .......I think this ability would be very unhealthy and potentially ruin Many, Many an AD carry's day. it's a decent ability, but the effect is largely invisible, despite the fact you will likely get 500 - 1000+ gold in a single game from it.

  2. Highway robbery (passive) - whenever [Champion Name] scores a kill or assist against an enemy champion, that champion will instantly lose X gold {somewhere in the range of the bounty award for killing them}. that gold will be placed into a floating item, at the location of the enemies corpse. If an allied champion steps onto this item, half the gold will be awarded to that champion, and half to [Champion Name]. If an enemy steps onto the item, the gold will be returned to its original owner. .......this would probably be a viable ability. it rewards enemies for fighting in a group, to retrieve the lost gold, but also grants meaningful bonuses to allies, as well as the owner of the ability itself.

  3. Pickpocket (active) - enemy champions will show a colored icon above their head based on the amount of unspent gold they possess. when activated, [Champion Name]'s hands will begin to glow gold. after a 2 second delay, the color will change to BLACK. at that time, the next basic attack scored against an enemy champion will cause that champion to immediately lose X% of their current gold. [Champion Name] will store this gold until the next time he returns to base, distributing it at that time to himself and his team. (may also be nice to be able to target your allies, to hand them the entire bundle you have stolen.---that may cause balance issues though.) .......I put a bit of counter-play potential into this one, but i still think it's unhealthy. it gives an option to the enemy that essentially says "would you rather back off from the fight and lose an objective, or would you like me to take all the cash you earned over the last 5 minutes?" Neither is really a good option, and while it may seem fun for a while to play the bully, it's really just toxic for the enemy team. Also, if you take away the icon that displays enemy relative wealth, it becomes very frustrating to the player using the ability.

Wit's End was changed for a reason. Most healers can barely spam healing as is...
