In my opinion having all of the orbs blue kind of kills the skin. If you made the skin have red abilities it would be AMAZING!!!!!!

for the sake of clarity they can't due to the fact the enemies attacks are tinted red already.

Plus for Ahri they can't do alot with it because of her passive, they need the colors to work well so people can tell when it's up.

I know it can be a bummer when stuff like this happens, but I'm sure you could find someone who thought the same thing and made a custom skin?
