Illusions? (Or, mourning the inevitable removal of Morde's ult)
So I was feeling annoyed by the homogeny of bot Lane and crit carries, and then I started thinking about how DotA has critical strikes carries, but it also has primarily ability based carries and it has illusion based carries. Then illusions made me think of Mordekaiser's ultimate, and how upset I'm going to be when it's inevitably removed in his eventual rework. I thought "hey this is a really engaging and stimulating mechanic, I hope it stays in some form!" So in an attempt to preserve a mechanic I love that will eventually be removed, and to bring build diversity to ADCs, I'm proposing an illusion based item.
Wraith saber:
Unique Active: spawn wraith Spawns a clone of your champion at the target location. Clones have identical stats and items to their original champion, but have damage penalities for both incoming and outgoing damage. Clones deal 30% less damage and take 30% more damage (increased to 50% on ranged clones). Clones can be directed to move and auto attack enemies with whatever hotkey Wraith Saber is bound to. Clones drop +50 gold upon dying, and last indefinitely until they are killed, and appear identical to their original champion to the enemy team. Clones also have a slightly reduced vision radius and a leash range of 600 units.
90 second cooldown, cooldown begins when the clone dies.
Do you guys think this could ever possibly work? I know we have Daisy and Tibbers, but this would be an additional rung up on mechanical demand and complexity compared to them.
