Like Ryais Crystal Scepter, the Helm of Ostarion is an homage to a DOTA 2 hero (Wraith King).

item 1028 + item 3024 + 1200 gold (2600 total)

200 HP 250 Mana 25 Armor 10% CDR (UNIQUE Active) Wraith Form: Enter a spectral form for 3 seconds. (90 second cooldown) While in this form, gain 25% movement speed, become untargetable, and regenerate 10% of your missing health over the duration, at the cost of reducing your damage output by 100% for the duration. Damage reduction does not apply to spells or attacks initiated before entering wraith form. In wraith form, you are untargetable but not invulnerable. Delayed damage can still hit you in spectral form, and projectiles already targeted on you will still damage you (though skillshot projectiles will miss). (Passive) Dead eyes never blink: Gain true sight of champions in a 550 AOE around you. Passive disabled while on cooldown.

A defensive item, aimed to do three things. Help assassins stay alive in teamfights. Help squishies deal with assassins. Help teams deal with stealth champions.

It is fairly cheap, so a champion struggling against an assassin should be able to pick it up relatively early, as can an Assassin who is getting shut down by a lockdown heavy opposition. While the passive and active are incredibly powerful, the stats on the item are horrid. As a result, most tanks would probably avoid it, with some exceptions of course (Illaoi, Alistar, and Gnar could all use it without too much of a problem) Carries would take this item as an alternative to a Guardian Angel (which could use some attention as well), but Supports are actually crazy good with it. Your damage output is decreased by 100%, but you are still able to cast spells. If you are someone like Soraka, Janna, or Alistar, you don't give a fuck about your damage output, but 3 seconds of untargetability and healing is great.

that active on alistar

walks in stomps ground knocks someone in your team but you can't do shit about it

sounds pretty frustrating to deal with

ok it is a bit unbalanced.

Maybe instead of 100% outgoing damage reduction, the user could be pacified (disarmed + silenced), unable to attack or cast spells. This to prevent stuff like the Alistar example posted before. Overall, a good and interesting idea. :)

It's an interesting concept, and defenitely provides some interesting balancing levers.

If you're talking about the icon being from DOTA 2 you'd be horribly wrong.

That's the icon for a Revenent-- a Warcraft 3 neutral monster often found on snow maps.

I don't see anyone getting this item over anything else. Most of the power is in the active, while most assassins have built in escape tools anyways. The only class I could see building this is supports, who could use CC while having the active on. Either that or being a walking pink orb if the enemy has a twitch or shaco.
