Penuk of the Wiltling

Passive: Gaian Penance

  • Abilities leave behind a seed that grants vision of the area for 3/5/7/10 seconds. Enemies can destroy the seeds with autoattacks, but if they walk over it, the seed sticks to them, granting vision of them for the duration. If an ally walks over it, they become stealthed for half the duration. Seeds can be exchanged between allied units.

Q: Gutation Cost: 55/65/70/90/100 Range: 900 Damage: 70/120/180/250/320 + .8 AP

  • Penuk fires a waterball from his headleaf that deals damage and slows enemies by 20-60%. Enemies caught in the center will have a seed stuck to them. If Gutation hits a seed, it will sprout. Allies can be stuck with a seed.

Seed will be left in the center of aoe.

(Shoots like a Nami shere)

  • Inner radius = Syndra ball

  • Outer circle = Melee iceborn gauntlet

W: Sprout/Bloom Sprout(Passive): All gaian seeds grow into a Wilting. Wilting deal damage over three seconds and root enemies for 1.25 seconds to whoever steps over them. Wilting shields allies that step over them and they gain tremor sense for three seconds. Cost: - Range: -
Damage: 50/75/110/135/150 +.2 AP Shield: 80/120/160/200/240/ +.60 AP

Bloom (Active): On enemy - stuns for 1.25s champions they are attached to or runs over them. On Ally - turns shield into health, or heals champions that run over them. Cost: 50 Range: 1200 Damage: 50/75/110/135/150 +.2 AP Heal: 80/120/160/200/240+.60 AP

Instant activation radius = Twitch contaminate

E: Rustle the Leaves Cost: 55 Range: 400 Damage: 80/110/135/180/200 +.45 AP

  • Penuk shakes himself off, shedding leaves that deal damage in an area around him. Closest three champions within the aoe will be stuck with a seed. If that champion has a seed already stuck to them, it will Sprout and another seed will be reattached.

Three seeds will be shaken off semi randomly between penuk and the closet ally -> champion within RtL radius.

R: Uproot Cost: 100/120/140 Range: 1200 Damage: 200/350/500 + .65 AP

  • Knocks up all stunned or rooted enemies in an area around Penuk, dealing damage. Procs off of allied cc.

  • Instant proc radius = exp gain radius

I just wanted to think of a quick kit for a tanky support tree dude along the lines of zyra/maoki. Kit focuses on rooting enemies as a means of protecting allies, and he can stick to a single target via chaining roots with Rustle the Leaves seed reapplication. If a champion has a seed stuck on them and Penuk uses Sprout, it'll do the root and DoT on them instantly. If anyone's played tales of symphonia, Penuk is kinda based off the mandragora. A wilting is basically a little mischievous plant that likes to grow on heads and stuff. Penuk has this symbiosis with them and he kinda just helps ..... fertilize them? Helps spread their seeds. Penuk himself is also a plant-dude, kinda impish. But when he uses uproot, he sort of transforms into this hulk of a plant and blasts his own roots up out of the ground.

I dunno. I'llwork on numbers nstuff maybe.

Seeds that can be activated by something and damage enemies? The W is extremely similar to Zyra's W. The R knocks up enemies and this champion is a plant person? Just sounds so much like Zyra. Although the passive part of revealing enemies when they walk over a seed is quite a bit like Zyra's seeds, but the part about allies getting stealthed is interesting. It could use work.

A few things: How big is Gutation's area? Please give a point of reference, as it has the potential to be either extremely good or extremely weak. Also, does it move like a Soraka Q, where the closer you aim the faster the projectile is? What do you mean by, "it will sprout"? Into a Wilting? Please explain. Does his passive leave seeds at his position or at the position where he cast the ability? Your uproot says "all stunned or rooted enemies". Does this apply to other champions' cc? This champ seems to be very kite-based, so I don't see the point of letting his seeds get destroyed by auto attacks. It's more interesting if the enemy has to choose who "carries the seed" into a teamfight. If you can attach seeds to enemies and set up your W, why not be able to set seeds on allies with Gutation and activate W to give all seeded allies a quick shield? It adds a new aspect to his supporting that doesn't involve forcing allies to search out your seeds and removes some of the turmoil around allies rerouting and "ruining" your Wilting traps for a shield. The most "supporty" things (and most interesting things) this champ does involves rooting enemies and shielding allies, but these are all highly situational. His E is also a bit lackluster. Reapplying one seed to one target and maybe healing? It seems like just a burst of aoe damage. I think it's possible to make this far more engaging. Penuk shakes himself off, applying seeds to all allies around him and dealing aoe damage to enemies. Applies seeds to all enemies within a much smaller range. This way he can extend his range and usefulness as a defensive support and enjoy more use as a threatening cc tank, all while promoting high risk/reward play. Another thing to consider is W cooldown. This is important for chain cc, but it's also extremely powerful for how easy it is to land after seeding. This vital part of his gameplay should have some sort of trigger to reset the timer, so Penuk players feel like they're maximizing their potential and doing the right thing. Maybe Attacking rooted enemies reduces the cooldown of this ability by X second(s). or Applying seeds to enemies reduces the cooldown of this ability by X second(s). Something to reinforce that unique seed-application gameplay. All in all, pretty cool concept, especially with both the ally and enemy interactions. Please continue working on this idea, as I'd really like to play this guy some day :) Reviewer, away!summoner 4
