{Champion Concept} Axel, The Heavy Gunner

What's going on guys and gals! Aejis here, presenting another Champion Concept. The inspiration came from a mixture of Urgot, Graves and Jhin. I thought it would be cool to see if I could come up an ADC/Tank concept so I decided to give this idea a shot. Introducing,

DISCLAIMER: Anyone who reads the forums pretty much knows that most of the artwork we get to represent our Champion Concept isn't ours, but I just want to make it clear for those who don't know.

BACKSTORY:

Axel is a man who has survived on the Streets of Zaun for a long time. With his Nomad/Renegade lifestyle, he has has little to no friends of family and often slept on the streets when it came time to rest. With his city in turmoil, Axel only relies on his gun and his armor for protection. He feels no need for armies or militia's to defend the weak. In Axel's eyes, If one cannot survive on their own, they are only a waist of space. Though is philosophy seems insensitive, Axel has a soft spot. Even though in his young adulthood he only was about himself, he has grown fond of the young children in Zaun. Not only is Axel a great survivalist, but a master teacher.

Instead of defending the youth, Axel had dedicated himself to teaching kids to live on the crude streets of Zaun on there own. After the kids reach a certain level of growth, he would then relinquish all bonds, and goes about his lonely, rugged life. However, there is one kid Axel has taken a liking to over the past few years. This young lad was like a son to him, the son he never had. Axel watched over him for months and did not want to leave him behind but did anyway, making a vow to check on the young fellow from time to time. After a year or two, he returned to see how the boy was making out, only to find terrible news. The young fellow had lost his only friend, and was running wild through the dangerous world of Runeterra, un-attended.

Abilities

PASSIVE: Heavy Rail-Gun For every 1 Bonus Attack Damage, Axel will gain an additional 0.5 AD and 0.1 Armor Penetration. Critical Strikes double your Armor Penetration on-hit.

This is a passive to give players that "feel" of a Heavy Gunner, the goal here is to have players build high damage rather than attack speed items to Maximize their damage output.

(Q) Solid Opportunity Axel prepares his next (1/1/2/2/3) Shots to become critical strikes. Each shot deals 10/15/20/25/30% Additional Damage and slow the enemy by 40% for 1 second. Killing a unit with Solid Opportunity refunds halve the mana cost and refreshes it's cool down.

Cost = 30/35/40/45/50 Mana Cool Down = 8 Seconds Range = 625 (Basic Attack Range)

This is Axels go-to ability and farming tool. Much like Irelia's (Q), the cool down is refunded on kills, so it's best to use it as a execute move.

(W) Stead-Fast Presence For the next 4/4.5/5/5.5/6 Seconds Axel gains a shield equal to 5/10/15/20/25 x (Champion Level) + (1% for every 1% Missing Health) and nullifies all Marks, Stacks, and Debuffs.

Cost = 40 at all ranks Cool Down = 14/13/12/11/10 Range = Self-Cast

What I mean by nullifying Marks:

Champions like Leblanc or Katarina cannot consume there Mark while Steady-Fast Presence is active.

Nullifying Stacks:

Let's say Kindred uses his (E), or Braum hits you with a (Q)... Activating this Ability makes it so that they cannot gain anymore stacks until your ability is over.

(E) Sharpshooter

Axel Fires a linear shot to a visual enemy outside of his basic attack range, dealing 20/40/60/80/100 + (1.0 per Attack Damage) additional physical damage. If it hits a Champion Axel is healed for a portion of his Maximum health. Enemies must be outside of basic attack range in order for him to fire, but within 300/350/400/450/500 of the outer limit. The shot travels fast, in a straight line, but is destroyed if any unit gets it in the way. (Applies On-Hit effects)

Cost = 20/23/26/29/32 Mana Cool Down = 8/7/6/5/4 Range = 300/350/400/450/500 units from Maximum Attack Range This is Axel's poke ability, used mainly for early game harass and a big of damage against fleeing targets.

(R) Focus Fire After selecting an enemy Champion, that target is "Locked" Locked targets take 20% more damage from Axel and Axel takes 20% Less damage from other Non-Turret sources other than his locked target. Axel also becomes immune to immobilizing effects (But can still be displaced, like knock-ups or knock backs) and gains 10/20/30% Movement Speed while active. During this time, Axel's movements will always face the targeted enemy and he will basic attack them with 1.5 attacks per second until out of this Ultimate's range. These attacks fire at the locked target even if he right clicks to move around the target. Getting a kill or assist while this Ultimate is active allows you to press (R) to "Lock" on another target as well as gaining half/ two-thirds/all the Ult's full duration back.

Cost = 50 Cool Down = 120/105/90 Seconds Range = 1200 Duration = 6/7/8 Seconds

Hi there, I do like this concept, but here's what I get from it. It feels more like "A guy with a heavy gun" than a heavy gunner. Imo, every time I hear heavy gunner, it's someone who has a gun that's big, and can unload a lot in a small amount of time. I'd really like to see an adc/tank, but this kit seems to lack something, makes it feel more like an adc/assassin, he does have some cc resist abilities. but most tanks have cc abilities too. This seems more of a mix of Urgot, Jhin, Caitlyn. I guess we got to make a fine line between adc/tank and a bruiser, which is the ranged part. I'd like to see something with cc abilities and ranged adc like abilities in a kit. That would sound fun, but also maybe more op. As most adc don't have cc, which would make them op, but only one who have no real mobility it works on, such as ashe and varus. I'm not really sure how to fan this all out, but anyway, cool concept :D
