Mito - the Forerunner

I'll start with his backstory, I am not the best lore writer. This is the jest of who he is.

>Mito is a young boy from Piltover who fancies himself an inventor. However most of the gadgets he invents are makeshift versions of something else. Regardless, Mito was ingenious with his creativity. Ever since infancy Mito had idolized Jayce, a Piltover scientist and Inventor. Mito even took a trip to meet Jayce a few years ago, but was unsuccessful. Outside Jayce’s Lab Mito stumbled onto some scrumpled up paper, they were blueprints. Blueprints for a projected named A.R.M.O.R. Jayce had written some almost illegible notes, most saying that the suit was impossible to build without a great influx of energy. Mito’s eyes widened, he had to try and catch Jayce’s attention somehow, and this was it. Mito rummaged in the back alleys behind Jayce’s lab for scrap metal, but was apprehended by a Hextech gun wielding thug telling Mito to hand over the blueprints, as they were worth money. Mito refused and the thug discharged his weapon striking Mito in the chest. Not even a moment later Vi came in and disposed of the thug, seizing the weapon, and immediately transporting Mito to the Hospital. Mito was in critical care for over 3 days, but made a full recovery.

>After returning home, Mito instantly started to craft and design the armor out of the scrap metal and Hextech technology from the gun he had pickpocketed off of Vi. However, when Mito tried the suit on for the first time, a strange light blinded him and he was merged to the suit. Struggling to remove it, a cloaked figure made an entrance. “You will be remade, It is your destiny” it said in monotone. Mito panicked, and before he knew it, the suit moved on its own striking down the shady man revealing a small robot under the cloak. The robot discharged a note, almost as if it knew it would be destroyed. Mito picked it up, unknown to him a language of numbers he had never seen before and a single legible word, **“Evolution.” **

(Appearance) A teenager, scruffy brunette hair, green eyes. Body seems to be infused with some sort of hextech suit. (Role) Juggernaut, tank, support (Identity) Can't be stopped, Sort of like a football player.

(Abilities)

<Pas.> Forerunner Mito's hextech suit is constantly making calibrations, increasing Mito's defenses when it sees fit using gravitational pulls. Mito gains 10% x nearby enemies as bonus armor and magic resist, but only when moving towards enemies.

<Q> Plasma Stomp [9 second cool down all ranks] Stomps the ground with a heated Boot to create a plasma field. Enemies inside the radius of the plasma field when Mito cast Plasma Stomp take 80/100/120/140/160 +30% of Mito's current health as magic damage. The plasma field lasts 5 seconds and gives off an increasing slow due to increased gravity. (sort of like quicksand) slows up to 50% after 2 seconds.

> No larger than Malzahars Null Zone

<W> Gravity Shield [12/11.5/11/10.5/10 second cool down] For 1-3 seconds Mito roots himself and emits a large shield around himself that absorbs all (ranged) auto attacks and spells using gravity. Mito takes 80% of the damage himself but heals nearby allies for 10/20/30/40/50% of the sum.

>This spell has a unique property to it, all units inside it's radius that are standing still will move towards Mito slowly like a magnet because gravity is tugging at them, unless they are moving somewhere else. I say 1-3 seconds because mito can choose to keep the shield up, absorbing more projectile damage, but taking more in the process.

<E> Power Punch [14/13/12/11/10 second cool down] This ability has 2 effects

Cast on Ally: Knocks them away a good distance (without stunning them) Cast on Enemy: Delivers a powerful punch that lowers an enemies armor stat by 10% of your own, and knocks them back slightly. Deals 5/10/15/20/25% of your current health as magic damage when they land.

<R> Determined Charge [200/180/145 second cool down] Mito charges directly at a targeted enemy (like Vi ult) Any enemies in between him and his target are knocked back. When Mito reaches his target he hits them incredibly hard downwards rooting them for 3 seconds.

This is a nicely made champion, he has an identity, an interesting mechanic and sounds fun to play. Up voted.

A few thoughts:

  • The scaling on the passive seems high (50% bonus resists for running into the middle of a teamfight); it should be capped around the value from 3 champs, like Irelia's passive or Darius' Q heal.
  • The Q damage scaling off %(Mito's health) seems problematic, for a medium-cooldown ability with a pretty potent slow. There is 0 incentive for any offensive itemization, while still doing some insane amounts of magic damage as a late-game health-stacking tank. Some of that should be replaced with AP scaling for sure, or at the very least making the health scaling increase with level.
  • The W is a bit like a better AoE version of Braum's E with an ally heal on top, cool effect, but seems very strong. The "drag motionless units" effect sounds pretty cool, though I'm not sure how much effect it would have in-game, because it's rare for champions to stand completely still unless they're channeling.
  • I like the E a lot (I'm a fan of spells that can be both ally and enemy cast), though similar to the Q, large %health damage without needing a longer setup (like Vayne's bolts or Tahm Kench W) gives a lot of damage without itemizing for it.
  • No damage on the ult seems wrong; it shouldn't be huge, but still noticeable to help justify the very long cooldown. (Maybe physical damage scaled off AD instead of the other abilities scaling from AP, to prevent unstoppable AP burst?)

The ult seems kinda boring and too similar to alot of other abilities. If the ult doesn't deal damage then it could be reasonably switched with his Gravity Shield. Gravity Shield sounds cooler and would be more impactful, making it worthy of an ultimate ability.
