If you release Victorious Skins from past seasons to be sold, I'll lose all respect for you

Because what's the point of having ranked rewards now outside of a border and a cheesey ass forum badge that continues to look shittier after each season?

Those skins were given to those who could reach a certain elo and you're going to back on that now because bronze and silver player's feelings are hurt? I didn't play season 1, so I had no way to get Victorious J4, I was bronze s2 so i don't deserve victorious Janna, and I was plat s3, Diamond s4. Even if you used a restriction or requirement of being a certain elo to purchase them, you're doing a disservice to the concept of those past seasons as it represents longevity in a game that continues to change. And it all but kills the exclusive feel to the skins.

Please, for the sake of respect to those who actually grinded out those games and had the ability to achieve a certain elo, don't do this.

Even though ICARSONW is an asshole, I agree with him. You didn't earn it, you shouldn't get it now. I can't win an 84 Olympics gold medal just because I won the same event 4 years later... Rewards should stay rewards... period.

Lets do a comparison

Lyte wants to make a place where everybody is kind to eachother and being "toxic" isn't allowed. VS Riot decides to make skins that use to be only attainable by performing well in ranked available to everyone.

Lyte boasts that he knows what causes "toxicity" What do a large portion of the people in this game do when it comes to ranked? get to a elo where they can trash talk people and flaunt around their ranked rewards. What is riot doing? making ranked rewards available to everyone.

You people have done this to yourself.

My personal thought: Victorious skins should remain a Gold+ reward, but you get to pick between any of the Victorious skins as your reward. That way the hypothetical Jarvan 4 main that started this season and makes Diamond 1 can get Victorious Jarvan and wear it with pride, instead of getting Victorious Mundo because that's the champion that happened to get the skin this year and never using it outside of the rare ARAM game.

Because some of us dont have time to play a whole bunch of Rank games, there are real life problems that are much more important than playing a game, but we can still enjoy buying items for this game! it has nothing to do with "getting good" at the game!

But youll get other rewards as well? I think it would be a great move especially when they did Elise. it wasnt fair that her first skin out of her launch was the Victorious Skin, so that leaves a longer time for people who wanted a new skin for her. In my opinion they should at least give it to season 1 and 2 rewards because of how long its been. Plus when there is a champion rework (whether visual or otherwise) it could change the opinions of others who might have wanted the skin.

I mean its the same thing with the whole Limited Edition skin becoming legacy skins. its just special snowflake who feel the need to have things people cannot get just because! its not right, and i dont see what the big deal is. For one you guys are getting the skin (and champion if you dont already own it) for free while others have to pay, youll get a special border (along with your rank border) and special icon (along with your rank icon) plus there is talk about giving out exclusive Cromas that you can only get through the Rank rerwards!

The problem with this entire situation isn't whether or not you should earn it. Its whether or not they can make a quick buck off of it. it also benefits the employee who suggested it because now they can tell their boss that they increased company revenue with their revolutionary idea. It will help them greatly with their performance review.

Where does it say anything about releasing them? As much as it would be cool to have them, I didnt play the last seasons and therefore I didnt earn them. I like exclusivity. This might be biased slightly considering I will be getting the victorious skin this season, but even if I weren't, I still think I would rather have them exclusive for the people who actually earned them.

out of curosity, is this something they plan on doing or just something the community wants? i couldn't imagine them putting the victorious skins for sale but i could be wrong.

This is dumb. I have 3 ranked games, provisionals, since my internet is a bit too sketchy to play ranked, and I shouldn't be able to get a skin cause I have $$$. If this goes through, they aren't "Victorious" skins, just kinda...normal skins.
