Can we make Sejuani again more of a Teamfight engage champion and less of a 1v1 Skirmisher?
First of all, i am not for a full revert or anything in this way. All i want to say is that it feels kinda lackluster having not anymore the aoe stun ult on her and instead "just a big Anivia Ult". Also i believe Sejuanis Permafrost passive and first part of "Furry of the North", the Frost Armor, make her already strong enough. That she gets 10-20% of enemys max health as damage on a frozen target gives her an ability that feels like a strong burst similar to Volibear and old Sejuani didn't had that.
So what i would suggest is either completly taking away this Anivia and Volibear (or Trundle Ult) ripoffs or at least nerf the scaling of the healthdamage for one of these 2 Versions:
- ACTIVE: Sejuani throws a True Ice bola in a line, dealing magic damage and stunning for 1 second the first enemy champion that collides with.
The bola empowers if it surpasses 400 range, increasing its magic damage and Stun icon stunning the first enemy hit for 2 seconds. Additionally, upon collision or reaching maximum range, it shatters, applying 2 Stacks of Frost to secondary enemies, slowing by 80% for 3 seconds .
or
- ACTIVE: Sejuani throws a True Ice bola in a line, dealing magic damage and stunning for 1 second the first enemy champion that collides with.
The bola empowers if it surpasses 400 range, increasing its magic damage and Stun icon stunning the first enemy hit for 2 seconds. Additionally, upon collision or reaching maximum range, it shatters, creating a storm for 2 seconds, slowing enemies by 30% and applying over these 2 seconds 1-3 Stacks of Frost (based on Ult Rang).
So the Idea here would be to not give Sejuani her total Aoe Stun back but also not just giving her Ult a Tool for a 1 Target Engage (if it not hits 0) and giant slowfield. Adding 2 or 1-3 Frost Stacks would still be ok for counterplay: You are not stuned at the hit and still can try to escape with moving, dashing, using qss or flash but still far closer to a stun as with current Sejuani and if someone like Master Yi or a Runans Hurricane Champ follow up, maybe with an Alistar or Leona follow up engage (this would be the total wombo combo) the Sejuteam could fast apply additional stuns.
If in addition Sejuanis %healthdamage would be nerfed or total removed i believe she would be less of a balanceproblem how she currently is between Competive, High Elo and Lowelo. Like Sejuani before with her Aoe Ult was not realy popular, looking at Malphite and Amumu i neither see one of them in the Lcs or high Elo Streams regulary. But new Sejuani brings also this super strong 1v1 kit which is realy powerfull for a Champion considered normaly as a Teamfight Engage Champion.
I think theses changes are at least worth giving a try to explore and would compare this change similar to Rengars Changes from Ult Invisible to Camouflage and w from shredding armor and mr to giving a cleanse. Would have posted this idea earlier if i had the time to do it but now i see Sejuani just more circling down the nerftrain for competive while soloq Winrate suffers hard from that, making Seju just another Galio/Ryze problem.
