I love Gimp, but I've always strayed away from the Path Tool. How easy was it to pick up?

Quite easy once I realized I just needed to place two points then grab the line between them where I wanted the curve to be. The only problem I have with it is that I have to set up my paintbrush beforehand to autodraw on it; if I didn't set it up, going to the paintbrush clears the path I made.
