New Champion: Midas, The Pickpocket Billionaire

I thought Midas would be an interesting character. His resource bar would not be filled with mana, but it would be filled with gold. In other words, his spells would rely on how much gold he has. He would be a ranged champion; he would literally shoot gold. This would challenge players to watch their gold as well as their attack speed. His passive would grant himself and nearby allies extra gold on any kills and assists (including minions). His Q would use gold to create a gold cannonball that he would shoot at a single target, and it would do extra damage. His W would use gold to create an Area of Effect where it would slow and give gold to Midas depending on how many Champions stand in the area. His E would allow him to siphon gold from another champion's "account" for a short amount of time, and it would passively give him more gold every time he kills. His ultimate would use gold to give him a huge buff for a period of time, whether it be in Movement Speed, Attack Speed, Attack Damage, or any combination of the three, PLUS, Midas would not "spend" money during this time. Midas would obviously be a great ADC, and he has the potential to be a great Mid Laner. His passive would give gold to the support, making the bottom lane unstoppable in the late game, but squishy early game. I believe the gold aspect of Midas would be very challenging, with high risk and high reward. The release skin would mimic Gragas Esq, and be very fancy, or be from the Mafia, Mafia Midas.

At first, I thought Midas should be a Yordle. Just the thought of a small creature that made a fortune off of stealing from humans was hilarious! I believe he would be a great Champion. Leave comments below.

so he wouldn't need items? I guess I'm confused by this idea of spending gold for spells.

His kit is way too nebulous for me- So how are his base numbers? does he spend gold on his auto attacks? Because as it stands he has more gold accumulating spells than he has gold spending spells. AoE slows on an ADC is also weird, because if a target's on you as an adc you're probably dead at that point. Also, stealing gold from another player's just a really broken mechanic, because gold is at the heart of the metagame of League of Legends. Gold=items=objectives=gold, and so the world goes round. One player just passively sapping gold away from the team is a mega-unfair mechanic, that will no doubt lead to him getting targeted specifically, also having no escapes and light CC. And, if he's spending gold as he attacks, and steals gold as well, then he's not benefiting as much from the gold he steals while he creates no fun for his enemies. Being mechanically good at the game gets you nowhere with someone who's just stealing the benefits of your skill, and the counterplay would be to kill him, which would be rather easy given his kit (damage steroid on one auto with Q, aforementioned AoE slow, and gold siphon that doesn't add anything to gameplay). So either you the player has no fun, or the enemy has no fun, and counterplay is either impossible or all-too-easy.

P.S. How would he pick which buff to buy?
